When i turn on my right blinker on, the lever does not lock in place, but instead it just goes back to the neutral position. If i turn on my left blinker, it locks in place fine. If i push down on the wiper switch so it's in mist mode, i can use the right blinker just fine. If i try to use the right blinker i also notice the wiper lever moving downward. Also, when i turn the wheel to the right, i have a clicking sound that does not sound like it does normally when turning. Is my combo switch in need of replacement or something popped out of place? Also my wiper lever spring that retracts it back from the mist mode is either broken or popped off. Could that be the cause for all of this?

Definately hit the wrecking yard first. You should be able to score one for maybe $10-15. You'll want I think a 19 mm socket for the steering wheel nut, then just take the screws out of the steering colunm plastic to split that apart. There is either one or two connectors on the back and a couple screws on the front then its out. I replaced mine and ended up with delay wipe which I didnt have before, but it wasn't a great fit. I had to cut some plastic off the column and swap the hazard light slide switch from the old one to the new one. I wasn't paying close attention and got one where the wheel was already off. Just test the switches a bit for tightness and click, suxs to get one more broken that the one you already have.

The switches should be tight and have a good click?

just hit the junk yard around your area. it is not that hard to replace. just take you time. don't rush doing it or you may forget something.

Problem is, there are 2 local junkyards that i know of. One has 2 3gee's, but one is on top off another car, and another one behind weeds. The junkyard does have many parts pulled from various cars ready to go, so i may ask them. If not i will try to get back there. The other junkyard has an auto LX that is trashed.

Yeah you need to replace the combo switch. I had the same problem, except it was my left blinker that wouldn't stay down. I've actually replaced mine twice, because the first time, the headlight switch broke and got stuck with the parking lights on. We got one from a junkyard, and the switch never did work correctly ( I believe it was because we got it from and 86-87). Then we got a brand new one after the 86-87 one and its worked perfectly ever since.

Ok thanks guys. I just drove around, and there is no more clicking when turning without the blinker on. But now my wiper switch will not hold, it just falls down and turns on the windshield washer on, but the blinker works great now. So for now i just took a few rubber bands and hooked one end of the rubber bands to the column hight adjuster and one to the lever, holds it up.

P.S main thing now is the blinker, since it wont rain for a few days. Wipers work fine tho.
