ok i have a 86 lxi accord hatchback the motor runs but it has 300k miles on it so its about to go. all the junk yards ive went to dont have any and the ones they do have are super high miles also, so i guess im just gona have to do a motor swap, witch will cost less a b series or f series, to get in that car. and will i have to cut anything. i wish i just had a low milage a series

anything beside A series or JDM B20A (very rare) would have to be custom fitted. You have to make custom engine mounts, custom shift linkage, custom wirring and so on and on. It can cost upwards of $3000+ for B swap. F series swap would be a little harder to fit (a lot bigger motor).
Try searching on ebay for the A series motor. you can get them cheap.
got to performace section/ engine swaps. and read all the sticky threads.

at all....anyways the a20a3 also came in the 86-87 prelude Si...the engine should not be too hard to find...if not rebuild your stock one...but cheap way out...is to find one from a wrecked accord/prelude.

Or you could buy a wrecked 3g for like $200 and pull the motor out of it. It was the best selling car in America, there are zillions of them.
