So yeah, I just bought an 88 DX Coupe and the engine runs fine but it does not have anywhere near the kind of power I want out of it.

What swaps are possible and what swaps are the easiest.

I can not find mounts for any engine at all for this car.

you would have to convert you car to fuel injection and then do like a b-series swap.....this part of the board should help you.

if you really want to do this, you will have to convert to EFi first.
after that start making custom mounts, shift linkage and so on.

are you looking for bolt-in or can you do custom? because the only bolt-in engine would be a20a1 and the carbed jdm b18a.

That is not true. You can run a B-series on carbs.

Keep A20 do Carb swap to weber(s) or vacuum removal, or multiple carbs modification, ignition upgrade, exhaust upgrade,,adjustable cam gear :o> FTW

it is true, but most people like EFI for B series engines.

Most people like EFI because they know nothing about carbs. A carbed B-series can be just as potent as an EFI B-series. So if someone had a DX or LX and wanted to swap to a B-series they dont need to convert to EFI.

It's maroon with same color interior.

They swap will have to be a bolt in, I don't have access to make custom parts.

well unless you can get your hands on a set of place racing mounts witch are pritty rare you can go b20a out of a jdm 3g but those are just as hard to come by

It is so simple, you dont have to do all the things in the How to section, well at least I did not. The hardest thing is if you have bolts break off taking the old stuff off.

You can do EFI change over without fabricating parts
YOu can buy B series adapter kits but they have to be welded in.

Just to let you know, unless you have a V or W motor you only have a header. Not headers :)

Sorry Reanimator I was reading the thread to quickly and thought you were the thread starter.

Ive said it a thousand times, but I will say it again. There is no readily available mount kits for this car. Just rebuild the a20 and turbo or be like everybody else and buy a civic.

or you can give up the cold cash for blueprints and get them made.

yea I saw 4G in JY with factory headers.
MH, make dam sure your oil filter adapter is not the culprit, it drips right on exhaust and appears like its coming from oil pan upper. Also oil pump inside timing cover can appear like oil pan is leaking from front lip.

I thought there were B series adapters available at one time, my bad Legendmaster.

I could make them when the time comes. also it seems like you could cut them out of a civic and make them work with some carefull planning.
