View Full Version : what is this switch for?

has 3 wires coming off it, and has a light in it, looks to be broken, i shorted the switch with ignition on and waited for about a minute, nothing seems to have happened, i was told it was heated seats, but nothing seems to be heating :P, any ideas?

its not a electric antenna either

That's where the bumper pole switch would be. Heated seats only came in the 2.0Si Exclusive. So go take photos of the Si Exclusive :D

anyways, 1 wire is earthed, another goes to the back of the ciggy lighter thing (:wtf:) and the other wire goes into one of them piles of wires (idk what they are called)

oh yeah, this car never had a bumper pole either

Well the only switches I know of are the bumper pole, and the one that keeps the electric antenna at 1/2 height (I know you said it wasn't this) and also an air filter thing that some accords have on the rear parcel tray.

Might be called an air purifier. You can see them in the middle of the rear parcel tray in quite a few late 80s and early 90s Hondas. They look like a big plastic box with a vent on them.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH that could possibly be it, although mine is missing lol, i think thats it cause i have 2 white strips on the rear dash right where that goes....

i would think they would be dangerous if they are just held down by valcro, esp. if you crash and it flies into your head or something
