No back seats

Well I decided to pull my back seats, because I dont use them and I wanted to take them out. I know I need to smooth out the carpet, but is started raining in the middle of working on it. So I will update later.

If the carpet was cleaner and fit perfectly to the interior I think it would look good. I need to relocate my battery to the spare tire location. That will allow me to flatten the carpet out. I have to hide it so people dont get any ideas when they look into my car.

Kinda like this? This was so painstakingly hard as hell. Even harder than swapping from auto to 5 speed. Took me about a week to get it perfect.

Have you ever weighed a sub? Im not really about the boom, there is a kicker sub sitting in my closet from my old car. I am more about being able to hear the words to the music clearly with the windows open at 80MPH.

Your pics were what actaully inspired me to take it out. The reason left all the paneling is so that the popo dont get suspention when they are next to me at a light :) .

That's what I wanted to do to my hatch. Looks awesome anyway. Although the back seat that comes with the hatch is extremely comfortable. My friends used to prefer the back seat to the front when they rode in my car.

Oh yeah, and damn right about the sub. Who needs one. I'm never putting one of those heavy-ass things in my car.

Our Honda seats are mostly steel then? My Monte Carlos is mostly foam crap, not much metal to it. Its a 2 peice deal the entire ass part is foam, slight bit of metal on the back part. Had to remove the entire back seat to put new 6x9's in the back. Awesome GM engineering.

I get the boom with being able to hear the words clearly with the windows down at 80mph... sound quality is money, but once youve got it you love it.

Id personally just pull the carpet out, tint the windows, and put the battery in the back. Go to a local Army Surplus and find an ammo can thats big enough to hold your battery (look into a battery for a 96-00 civic, theyre thinner/taller)... then bolt the can to the chassis, and get a masterlock to keep it shut.

PS: The tint would hide the guttedness of the car, plus, when you have all that steel showing in the summer it heats up the interior QUICK, and tint helps reduce that. You dont always hide exspensive electronics behind tint.

x2:rockon: i'm slowly getting there. just picked up a clarion deck and 7 band eq. i already have my door speakers amped (rf 2ways at the moment). i have a set of mtx black gold midbasses i just need to find some tweeters/x-overs to run with them. my type r has the perfect amount of bass w/o being overpowering, and it should sound even better now that it's in my rear deck.
