I have an 89 Accord LX. I want a few things for it, little stuff that I can't figure out how to find. One thing is hoses for my engine. About a month after I bought the car I sprung a leak in one of my hoses way in the back which lost all of my coolant. I got one of those hose repair kits where you put that plastic peice between each end of the cut hose, those are only supposed to be temporary and I've been running with it for about a year and a half now. Another hose sprung a leak and I ended up just cutting a chunk off it and reconnecting it to the engine. Now the hose is pulled kind of tight. Where do I find hoses for my car? The other thing is braces for my front and rear if they exist.

Well if you are in the US/Canada (dunno about other countries) just go to Shucks, NAPA or any other car parts store. They can cut you any lengeth of hose you want.

Yeah the ones that are shaped perfectly to work around the crap under the hood. I was aware that Shucks had hoses I didn't know they could form them like the original ones though. Good to know. How about strut braces? Just any brace doesnt fit every car right?

I bought mine at Autozone, they work great and they are pre-bent to fit perfectly. Just make sure to replace the hose clamps as well. Mine made the hoses leak, then when i replaced them the leaks stopped.

strut bar? there are non for carbed models. they won't fit. you have to remove almost every single vacuum line and conver to weber carb before you can fit one. even than you have to find one for our cars and since all the companies stoped making them they are worth a ton of gold.
so just stick with what you have and be happy.

you can get a majority of hoses at your local autoparts store. there are some hose autoparts don't carry and for them you have to go to your local honda dealer.
or you can visit this websites and find everything you need.

pick the one that is closest to you and order the parts.

I get my hoses from Napa... SchucksCheckersKragen are a bunch or arse bags sometimes, plus they don't list the correct carb rebuild kit, it doesn't have all the gaskets or enough o-rings for the carb. I'd be better off cutting my own gaskets and reusing the old rubber gaskets with a little liquid gasket. I think they have the dual prelude engine rebuild kit in it's place... which would make sense based on the typed of gaskets they gave me.

A universal kit is still not the right kit. Rebuild kits specific for the 2bbl kehin do exist and should be available at any good autoparts store.

the rebuild kit is like universal....it fit like 7 other carbs...and i did not end on using most of it.
