I purchased a pair of rear disk brakes from an 89 LX-i and looking to put them on my 89 EX-i.

What I need to know is if my master cylinder and the prop valve compatible with LX-i brakes?

...and which US model would the EX-i equal to??

...and anyone selling a front and rear strut bar?

Yes the master cylinder and prop valve are compatible. The LX-i here in America dont have rear disk, only the SE-i. All the 86-87 master cylinders are the same and the 88-89 master cylinder for the LX-i and SE-i are bigger. The Prop valve that you need to use comes from the SE-i, because it is set up for rear disk. As for strut bars, good luck.

yeah the prop valve should be a 40/40 but i think the only close one is the 3rd gen prelude that is 40/35

....so it would be the SE-i prop valve that I would be needing. Would that be a direct fit for my EX-i or would there be any modifications and fabricating for it to work with my master cylinder and the rest of the car?

The prop valve bolts onto the passenger side strut tower and has 4 brake lines going into it. As long as you have an 1986-1989 accord then the prop valve should bolt on without any modification. All the brake parts for the 3gee are interchangeable. I am not sure if you have to have the 1988-1989 LX-i/SE-i brake booster to run the 1988-89 LX-i/SE-i master cylinder. I am pretty sure the 1988-89 MC will bolt to the 1986-1987.

shouldn't any 4-wheel disk Honda/Acura proportioning valve work?
I still have the freaking LX proportioning valve and they don't drag

You obviously have no concept of the function of a proportioning valve.

But yes, a disk/disk (or drum/drum for that matter) prop valve from any car of similar mass, layout and CG should function adequately.
