ok i have looked this up but i cant seem to find any solid facts

#1. What tranny can i bolt up to my accord with shorter gears... im running n/a

#2. Can u swap the gears of an integra... what gen?

#3. does it make a big diff?

integra gears are too short for me....we were doing 60mph@3000rpm in 5th gear...that is with drag radial tires on the front.....but man was it fast....

there's always the teg hyprid. teg 1,2,3,4 gears, and accord 5th gear. gives you the acceleration from a stop and in town and a cruising gear for the highway.

well i was really lookin into shorter gears... but our trannys are just that much more reliable u know... and the gearing isnt that much diff

I dont know where you get your info, but our trannys suck, they are peices of shit. Super weak, so no matter what you get its gonna be garbage. 88 LXi is the best ratioed ACCORD Trans, A2K5 is the best lude tranny slightly quicker gears than the 88 LXi, and super low would be a teg hybrid, and messy the 4th, and 5th aren't interchangable between the two. And for higher HP apps you want a higher ratioed trans to eliminate wheel spin, which would come from a carb. But my personal fave is the 88LXi, whats (was) in my car, now I have an A2K5 we'll se how it works out.

from what i heard you can keep the accord 5th gear in with the teg gears....ive been in mikes coupe....165whp.....it was crazy.....made my moded a20 feel slow

I didn't mean 5th, I meant 3 & 4....my bad. 165 whp isnt anything to brag about. And my hatch has a bunch of crap on it, and the only thing I've noticed is its louder. Thats why I'm turboing it.

it is when its NA our cars came with 120hp and to the wheels it would be like 100 and to get 65 more is a big deal that is a 65% improvement.....its fast alright....not alot of people can make 165whp out of an a20...plus he did most of the work himself......he went all motor

ok so i raced my friends ex civic hatch... d16 v-tech... his short gears damnit... he lost me of the line but in top end i got him... WTF?!... so ya i dunno i wanna beat them off the line instead of going 80mph... tickets suck i bet

idk you will have to search....but you need to switch gears....thats all...and yeah you might be beating v6 ponies with the right mods and with short gears....its going to be sweet.
