Alright, here's the deal. My dizzy isn't being nice to me. I'd like to replace it, but I only have 2 distributors to chose from in my parts bin: a dizzy from an 87 prelude (only one vacuum dvance) and a dizzy from an 88 LXi. Are there any problems I'd run into trying to use the admittedly better EFI unit on my carbed car?

My current unit is a hitachi unit. The replacement is a toyo-denso. Would this cause any problems?

From searching, everything has told me that I'm not going to run into any problems. Would I be correct in assuming that I'm good to go?

Doesn't the hitachi have a internal igniter where the other one doesnt?

Indeed, the hitachi has an internal, the toyo has an external. That's the main reason that I was unsure.

Hitachi (Carb and Internal igniter):

The Toyo Denso and the TEC look alot alike

I have a spare carb distro in my trunk from an 89 LX, if you want it, I'll ship it 26th of this month. (no charge, assuming you're in the US)

All A20 accord distributors have an external coil.

match the wires... bolt it on.
