Ok, so on my 98 accord the dash lights don't work. They have never worked since I bought the car. It's not the fuses, because I've tried changing everyone. They go to the same fuse as the back up lights, yet the backup lights work. WTF is the problem? And remember, I'm an electronic smart person. So don't say to check the fuse.:wtf:

Check the fuse... J/k

You might have a bad dimmer switch, the one that controls the brightness of the dash lights.
Check that first to see if that works.

yeah dude bust out your DMM and check if you are geting power to them. my neighbor fried his harness trying to install a walmart stereo....then he had to go get one at the junkyard for like 40 bucks...

maybe thats the problem with my door lights and door indicators...haha.

the idiot that had the accord before me screwed it up big time with the wiring for the aftermarket head unit and whatnot.

see cah this is why u buy a radio harness cause cutting the stock harness leads to messed up dash lights lol
i bet it is the dimmer switch cause the illumination wire that runs to the stereo prolly fried

I say its the dimmer switch. Or possibly you have a short somewhere that is responsible for the dash lights.

I would check the voltage at the bulb and work backward. Most likely a bad connector, loose connector or the dimmer control. Do you have a manual for the 98?
