Where can I find some kits of good quality overhaul parts for the A20A3 and the 4 speed auto F4-903652 transmission?

I dont want cheapo junk, and I dont want race parts, just good, OEM or better quality stuff, without the stealership price....

Level10 quoted me damn near $450 for a trans kit. Seems steep, when that's about what I paid for a kit from them about five years ago for my Dodge Ram 46RE Auto. They want $100 to ship it too!!! WTF?????? Naw, there's gotta be a better price somewhere else????

I'm ready to start buying this shit and I need to find some reasonable, reliable sources. Help!!

When I rebuilt my engine, I ordered a Top-Line rebuild kit from this site for $306 after shipping. Just don't use the head gasket in it, get a metal one. (Felpro) That site has some high volume Toga oil pumps you can upgrade with along with rings & bearings. So for I haven't had any problems & have about 6,000 miles on my rebuild.

Any more suggestions? I'm about to buy both kits pretty soon. Baby room is in progress and will be done in a few weeks or so, and once that's out of the way, I gotta tear into this car.

I really need tranny kits too. Who has rebuilt their tranny? What kit did you use?

You should look into the 5-speed swap if you ever plan on doing perfornace work. The auto trannys dont hold up to well with performance parts.

Parts car is an auto as well, I just plan to rebuild the auto tranny and keep it in place, dont want to mess with the five speed really. I'm not going to turbo or anything so a fresh rebuild on an auto will be fine for what I'm doing, just driving it.

Nah, auto is fine for me in a DD car. 5 speed is sexy, but with all I'm going to have going on with this car and the EFI swap/body work/interior, I really dont need to pile on yet another project. A well built auto is nearly as efficient as a 5 speed. There's a Honda/Acura specialist shop directly across the street from me that I am going to take the Acura to for a timing belt and some seals (since I just dont have the time to do it myself right now) and I may ask them for some tranny tips on how to make the shifts firmer (which saves a transmission by reducing slippage between gears). My Ram, when I built the transmission for it, I put in a TransGo shift kit and set it up for the firmest shift possible. Also it has a B&M 28,000LB GVW dual air channel trans cooler inline wit the stock radiator cooler. It barks second with 285/60/17 Toyo Proxes ST's on Dodge Indy/SST rims. Been 65K miles since I built the transmission too, and still barks second gear. And we drive that bitch HARD. Thats basically how I want to rebuild this tranny. Hard shifts and good clutches and possibly an auxillary tranny cooler.
