Joel (offthahook) sent me a link to that 81. That is a clean ride right there. I say for a good runner, it's a great price. Replace the damaged seats, and you're good to roll in a classic! Get it! http://i.somethingawful.com/forumsystem/emoticons/emot-fappery.gif

there's nothing wrong with carbed versions, it's just that you can get an lxi for close to the same price and get a lot more features.

Even if the cars had the same features, carbed engines do have less HP and the carb has to be adjusted more.. plus theres a whole bunch of vacuum hoses and stuff which clutter up the engine bay.

sure....lol....carbs are a mechanics best friends....why waste your energy geting it to run right when the EFI has a computer to set up the right ratio on the fly...and then you can spend you time moding the car.

lmao...go for efi on a dd. imo, only if you plan to build one up for the track or something where you can use big carbs should you buy a carbed one. and you might be able to knock a few dollars off of those listed prices, especially if they've been listed for awhile and the person just wants it out of there.

:wtf: do you know what you're talking about, man? look at what you just said. our efi system isn't the best, but with obd-1 and crome or now a k-series and hondata k-pro or dsmlink on a dsm, you can do wonders. they are definitely tuneable.

i've seen a crx with a carbed d16 with over 200 hp. that's a car that's usually the recipient of the likes of a built b-series for most people looking for power. so yes, people do still put carbs on newer cars (although the crx isn't exactly the newest car). however, most people are simply scared of carbs and don't want to deal with having to do the fine tuning and adjusting that carbs come with.

Even tho you can tune a carb, you have to have the knowledge to do so. Anyways i would go with the 81.

what could be a potentially potent set-up is a computer-controlled carb. all the benefits of carb with the ability of having it fully adjustable by the computer so you don't have to adjust it. because computers tend to be more precise than most people.

all those accords are too expensive IMO...

i got my LX-i sedan for 600 bucks, needed an axle and has a little rust but ran the balls.
