I have my share over the decades, to say the least. But with age comes more responsibility as so does less lead foot action.

i only have one for speeding and after spending a whole nice Saturday day siting in school with old people(no offense to any older members) i don't really want to go back....i found out that time management is a good thing so you don't run late and don't speed. most people were there for red light violation or California rolling stop only like 2 ppl including my self were there for speeding.

they have online traffic court u know.. :D though it depends on the county if you can use it i guess

i got my first ticket on thanksgiving.. going 95 in a 70 zone but the cop lowered it to 80 which was cool of him considering otherwise i would have been fucked.

got into trouble for taking a turn too fast just the other night but luckily the cop didnt write me a ticket. i must have squeeled my tired or something cause he seemed pissed but i dunno if i did cause i had my music up.. i didnt even take it too fast either.. koni+sportline ftw!! :D

uh it better not take 4 weeks  i have like 5 weeks left to do mine.. the place i'm gonna use has an option to send the certificate fedex if you want.. plus it's only like 12 bux for the course :deal: paying $150 to the court sucked though

that is cheap....when i went to court the front desk lady said some companies take up to 4 weeks. so i called cheap traffic and only had to pay 29 bucks...and spend 8 hours of my life. yeah its one of thoes things you might want to do once....but not again.

i only had 2 speeding tickets and both of them were for wreckless driving. 10+ mph above speed limit. the last one about 3 years go i was doing 65 in 45 zone. it was nice fat $170 ticket with 5 points.

You need an option for the guys here that haven't had a moving infraction. The two tickets I do have are parking tickets from a private security company, so they don't count.

got my first ticket friday it sucked so bad. I dropped it in 3rd to pass this guy so i could take a right, well the speed limit is 35 and the cop was lurkin in an alley and clocked me at 51 so it's like $182. The weird thing is the cop told me if i don't change my muffler i will get a ticket for that too. I thought my muffler was legal in florida but i don't plan on changing it anyways. I just got my license like a month ago too.

speeding (69 in a 55)
following to close ( van cut me off)
speeding ( 62 in a 45)
speeding (80 in a 65)
running red light (turned on a yellow getting off the freeway)
cracked windsheild (not a ticket but did recieve a fix it order)
pulled over for having a fictitious plate! (was given to me by a dealer)

only had my license for about 5 years but in that time i have driven around 200k miles. so i guess i get a ticket about once every 40k miles.

My last three speeding tickets:

1. Airplane in Minnesota. Alone on the road, minding my own business, doing probably 75-80. Waaaay up ahead I see a trooper parked by the side. I slow down, he steps out and politely informs me of being clocked from the air.

2. Motorcyle cop outside San Francisco going to the airport. He was in the middle lane. I blow by at 80, never noticing him (duh!). When he pulls me over he says: "didn't you see me?" Sheesh.

3. Rt 17 in upstate NY. 55 limit, I was zapped at 92 as I rounded a bend of solid rock. I had the music on and by the time I realized the detector was going crazy it was too late. The NY trooper was on the off ramp pointing at me. I just took my foot off the gas and pulled over. I guess he appreciated the gesture, as he only wrote me up for 80. $155. This was in 2002.

I got a $387.50 for doing 146 in an 80, and a $126 for doing 100 in a 60, tryed to fight that one because the cop couldent show me that I was going that fast, but I gave up after he call the dispatch, because I dident have my lincens on me, and they told him I dident have one. Turns out since I dident go and rewrite my test they suspended my lincens, and because of the new ticket all my points were gone. I lost my lincens for 6 months and as of right now Im on probation for 2 years, so if I do anything wrong I loose them again for a year

I have had
*6+ Speeding tickets
*1 Contest of speed (Street racing) $380.00 :wtf:
*1 Witnessing a contest of speed
*2 front license plate tickets (they were all dropped because I put the license plate on the front and went to the court and showed them)
*1 Improper turn signal color (they were hyper white, but the bulb itself was blue)

I haven't had any tickets in years, because I was dropped by an insurance company for to many tickets. I used to be deep into the street racing scene here and the cops started cracking down hard. After that I started with the sleeper style cars and I have avoided the PO at all cost.

I have no tickets against my insurance, and am riding on one from May of 06 for doing 57 in a 40...was stupid. :thumbdn:

Good Grief Charlie Brown!

I think you ought to take a look at your record and wonder if it has a larger meaning. If nothing else, getting caught that many times means to me that you are unsafe behind the wheel. I assume you're a nice guy, but I'm glad I'm on the other side of the country.

I also get the feeling that you are kind of proud of this, which is a flag of sorts.

It was on US 62 between El Paso and Carlsbad, there are never any cops out there and Its flat as can Be. But I blew past his ass and It took him about 5 minutes to get Me... I wasn't going to run like I would on the local freeways here, but I know He couldnt get to 144mph..

ACTUALLY.... you couldnt be more wrong. I am NOT proud of this shit. dude i mean i could be driving a tow truck again and making more money :( but because of this i cant. my insurance is through the roof. But i will tell you this, before 2006 i was a total nut. I mean i didnt care at all right....I was just a...meh fuck it ill pay for it and im done with it type of person. But because in 2006 I realized that I was probably going to marry my girlfriend and start a family, I realized how stupid my actions were. I avoid speeding, I avoid making any stupid mistakes, and I have read the CVC about 3 times trying to make sure i follow the law. Thats why on my last ticket the yellow fog light thing was dropped....I WAS driving on a suspended license and my insurance was cancelled soooo I was in the wrong.

To tell you the truth, I'm still in the wrong because i STILL dont have a license, BUT like i said i avoid any trouble. everything is up to date, my car has insurance that im paying up the ass for, and there is nothing externally illegal with it. I do still have the yellow fogs but i hardly turn them on. I should be getting my license soon through. in 2006, my first ticket of the year was in march, my last was in sept. I havent since gotten any and i dont plan on it.

I have done a lot of growing up when it comes to driving, if you would have met me 4 years ago....THEN i'd probably agree with you on me being an idiot...but today, i will only agree that i WAS an idiot

Hmm... The roads out to my house in BFE are 35mph. Nobody walks on them and little kids sure as hell don't play on them. They're just long roads in the middle of BFE. The "reasoning" for 35mph is due to wildlife, and to protect you from yourself. I've hit 100 on these roads a few times. Occasionally there is some traffic, but it's pretty rare that it gets heavy enough to be dangerous. I'm sure there are plenty of roads like this where you'll get busted by the occasional county Sheriff going the opposite way.

No way I'd ever do anything like that in town.

Hm. I must be use to my Suburban upbringings. Never heard or seen of a 35mph zone that wasn't inhabbited by many houses, commercial districs or schools. Ah well. I guess it's different in the open lands.

never any moving infractions for me. only ticket i ever got was for my dad's car having one of his tails out. and on the day i got my license on the way to the dmv, i got pulled over for "running a stop sign." my mom nearly exploded at that woman and she didn't write me a ticket. because damnit, i stopped. if anyone should've gotten a ticket there, it should be the cop for running the stop sign herself on her way after me without running her lights and/or siren. she didn't turn them on until a block later.
