This is your dirt track car, correct? I'm just curious as to what kind of power you're making and what you spent on it. I'm curious because I'm wanting to build a GRM challenge car, it's all about price/power.

PM me if you're willing to talk about what a stock rebuild can do for your engine.

I think i just messed my pants.......

LOL eh whats your take on the delta cam cuz i want to replace mine and im not sure if i should go with delta or colt. Not a lot of upgrades i got just a kn air filter, muffler and ignition sytem oh and my homemade cai. Even with those minor upgrades it runs grate i just think its time for a little more power

You should do a DIY CAI from the jcwhitney mandrel piping!

All that is purley speculation at this point though.

i think we know whats up. looks like its got some nice work done to it. hope to see the rest of the car though.

Bite, this is a dirt track car. You don't want your filter getting that much dirt in it. It appears that this car isn't raced with headlight buckets in place. The only thing I personally would do with the current air induction system is a simple divider.build it out of some sheet aluminum and have a big foam rubber seal at the hood. "Cold Air Box" is what they call it.

i'd like to see some vids of this car also. i'm sure all of us would be excited to see something like that.

Its an asphalt car. :)
We race on a 4/10th med bank paved track.

As far as power is concerned. Ill be able to give you a clearer answer Friday night(opening night).
Last year the engine was pretty much stock minues the air filter. Still ran decent.
Since the rebuild over the winter it certinly sounds more aggresive. Im anxious to see the diffrence my self.
The price wasnt out of this world really. To be honest, Ive lost track on the exact number, little of this, little of that.
Ballpark would be around 1,000.00-1,500.00.

Ive got a peice of sheet metal to keep engine heat away from the filter. It stays pretty clean, just got to keep the chuncks of tire out of it.

Yeah, engine rebuilds, even stock ones, are a big help for all of us. Mill the deck and just clean up the head and you're up in power. Toss on a cam and balance the lower end and you've got a decent engine for years to come. You'd probably be up 30 HP from when you pulled the engine.

i think thats a prelude motor a bt and how does it run with out the black box and how did they do it

Blizzard

The engines out of an 89 Accord. The transmission came out of a Prelude. The black box was mostly emission stuff I think. The map sensor was the only thing inside it needed to run. The rest of the stuff we just pluged the vacum lines up on.

it has an 86-87 LXi intake manifold, so its probably either 86-87 accord engine or 85-87 lude si engine. If it has major headwork and a cam it could be pretty quick

I like it!

I would suggest that you get vacuum caps for the intake manifold tough. It would look better than the cut hoses with bolts fitted in them.
