ok Ive had it a little over a month now, might as well start the update thread....

When I bought the 86 LXi Hatch for $1100, It had a busted right front indicator, a blue right headlight cover, leaky injectors, passenger door wouldnt open from out side, bad front brakes, bad oil, lame purple tint, right front CV clicks, stock rims, a DUAL CD player and 2x Infiniti 150W speakers in the front, no rear speakers, and the Infinitis were amped by an old 100W amp....

A month later, I have put new brakes on it, re-wired the entire stereo with 2x Pioneer 200W 6.5" speakers in the rear, and my 2x 10" JBL subs. I removed the 100W amp and put in my 200W MTX for the subs and wired all speakers to the stereo. Changed the oil, still havent got a new indicator, got a matching headlight cover, but the eyebrow is still from 88-89 so it doesnt match, I threw my 84 rims on it, wont keep them long, but long enough to get pics... replaced all of the 13 lights that were out, fixed the fuses so everything works correctly, removed intake tubing. I just got some new injectors to install today hopefully they will be better than the leaky ones I have right now... I have fixed the passenger door so it opens from both sides now, fixed my loose interior door panel so it doesnt flap whenever I close the door...

as of yesterday, yes I had the hood off, showing of the dirty A20 while the sun was out :) its back on of course... definatly turned heads with the rims and no hood though... More pics / work to come!

always TLC... um they were just NAPA OEM Equivalent ones, kinda squeaky, but i needed new ones and those were only $20 so yeah, next time i get brakes, if i have the money, Ill just upgrade all around to disc and get nicer everything.

the hatch looks great man. You might not have to replace the full injectors just replace the o-rings it'll save you some money.

already replaced them, got them from JY and replaced orings... only cost me $6 for all of it, My seals were horrid on the old ones, no leaks now :)

o:uh: well yeah...today i was changing my radio and i didnt see that traffic stopped i had to hit my breaks hard....and my damn oil light came on cuz i get thoes kinda G forces...lol i checked my oil and its fine...so yeah.

i swapped covers because i like the different look for now and eventually im painting it anyway, my old ones had alot of nasty chips in them, and the grill came off cuz im converting to 88-9 front end and I just took it out now to make it stick out a little bit more :) thanks guys :) I am going back tomorrow to get the black door handles cuz my gold un-matched one has gotta go...

an undercover statee got me today... $339 ticket... I was cited with following too close and unsafe lane change...


I get on I5 north headed to school at 8am... i am in the fast lane and I come up on a van or tuck (can't remmeber) and they arent really staying constant with speed and I get a kind of unsafe feeling i guess... so i go ahead and pull into the right lane.... get up next to her, shes got a fuckin cell phone pressed against her skull and she is trying to drive in the fast lane... then i pull back in front of her and continue on my way.... next thing i know, a big black silverado is on my ass... im like WTF?! then BAM the motherfucker hits the GODAMN LEDS!!!!! shitfuckballs... im contesting following too close... the otherone i guess he was rightm but fuck that 12st one, that is bull shit.

ok guys... some updates.... not good ones either...
got my rear struts out only to find the allen wrench socket is stripped, so KYB struts to come soon... also, I backed into a damn light post, in my blind spot, so my rear bumper is popped off the side, and the strip below my tails is bent the hell in :(... and to top it all off... aside from my $250 ticket awaiting trial.... I got a fucking $600 ticket, Failure to stop at a stop sign (lies..), fail to signal properly (mine is busted...), and the the best yet.... prohibited tire noise (WTF?! are you serious?) I am fighting it all, im glad i got pulled over though, my friend behind me had a glock in his car and 2 un-sheathed blades... he would have been fucked... more so than I... lameness my brothers.

Looks good to me so far. Now get those rear KYB's. For the blind spot, Walmart, Walgreens, pretty much any store like that sells little mirrors called Spot Mirrors or i call them blind spot mirrors. They mount onto your existing mirror, and they are small so all you see is the blind spot that you can't see with the regular mirror. I have them and use them everyday.

ok more news.... I got the complete 88-89 front grille setup, lights and grille, not bumper yet though. Got a Tape holder from the Forrest! and I put my Alpine MP3 player deck in it too, OH and the Licens plate has moved as well, scrapes everywhere hahahah!

I was reading through your thread man. A lot of people on here might say I don't like cops, and they are right. I'm here in Salem too. My problem with police officers is they think they are above the law that they enforce. That jerk that pulled you over pulled you over for following to close?? So what does he do?? He gets behind you right on your tail (and I'm just assuming that he's driving at what would be an unsafe distance for regular peeps). I imagine they do this just so they can run your plates to decide if they are going to need back up, give you a warning, or just simply write you up. There ought to be a law that they have to keep there distance pull you over then do all that shit. I hate police!!! But then again, I hate hypocrites in general especially if they don't feel bad about being a hypocrite. I know I'm probably guilty of being a hyporcrite once in a while, but I sure wouldn't make it my occupation. I'd feel just as crooked as the criminal doing there line of work. But my anger is primarily at the officers that are out there writing tickets based on there menstrual cycle, or letting women off just because they bat their eye lashes. But if you think Salem is bad, don't get pulled over in West Linn! Those guys are even bigger jerks, they didn't get a measure passed to hire more officers so they are making it up by writing more tickets.

But back to your ride man! It looks nice... I'm thinking of dropping mine. But at the same time, I don't want to have to drive over speed bumps so slowly that I'm holding people up; that or drive over them at an angle. But overall these rides do look nice lowered. You should consider clearing those tails sense they are layered like JDM lights on our sedans and coupes. :rockon:
