Thanks! The only problem I've having right now is with the carb running rich. I'm gonna only get about 300 miles on this tank of gas. I didn't have time to tune it much today so I will set it tomorrow.

Clean exterior, I suppose an update thread means you're planning on progress!

Hey, you really moving right along with your car, that is amazing.
As for the wheels, they look ok but just seem out of place on the way the rest of the car looks, Chrome wheels (or polished alum) just do not flow with the factory trim on these sedans for some reason. If it was me I would update the looks of the car by painting mouldings & mirrors body color, maybe even change the color, but white looks fine if its deep enough (deep meaning more reflective, clear coat maybe or enhancing polish...not soaking up all the light). Bigger tires on those wheels would help in my opinion.
By the rapid progress you are making I am sure you have some outstanding plans already. congrats on what you done so far:welcome:

oh and I get 325 miles out of a tank of gas with my two stage weber, not fine tuned yet. Still not too bad though that is 29-30 mpg

Well, i was looking for rims but with tires they ran anywhere from $600-$1,000. So then i was just going to get tires for the 13" and the all-seasons i wanted were going to be $310. My bro in-law was selling these rims(1yr old) with tires(they have only 5k) plus an extra rim for $400! I wanted black or gunmetal rims but i couldn't pass this price up. BTW, pimp daddy was my nickname

Thanks, trying to do what i can with what i got. With the rims, they have brushed chrome on the top of the spokes and are gunmetal on the rest, but the brushed chrome is alil loud. I plan painting the mouldings and mirrors and trying to bring the white paint back to life.
As far as the weber, i figured i got about 20 mpg. I tried tuning it today but no luck, i need to rejet it.
thanks to everyone for all of your opinions, advice, and criticism, i appreciate it.:)

I think the wheels will look a lot better if you can get that dent out and get the car all sparkly again.

Alright guys, I need some help. I installed a blaster coil today and car idled fine and ran awesome for about 2-4 miles. It then died and does not want to start. I check the coil, its getting power. The rotor and distributor are fine. So a friend said to make sure i'm getting fuel. Well, no fuel being pumped. So i check the fuel pump and its not getting power. Theres no blown fuse to be found. I off to work and then the hospital cuz my sisters about to pop out a kid, so i will have to work on it tomorrow or sunday, but any ideas on what to check or were to start would be great, thanks.

lol, i was just going to suggest a coil as your next upgrade. The car looks a lot better, good job. Get a multimeter and see if your fuel pump is getting power, if not check the fuses again and check to see if you wired the coil right. Heres a hot-to on the coil, its at the bottom of the page http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57448

Yea, i wired the coil right, blue -/black +. I even put the old coil on just to see and nothing. I checked the fuel pump with a multimeter and no power and i found no blown fuses. I didn't have time today to work on it, and its too damn cold. We got about 3-4" of snow today. I'll doubt check the fuel pump tomorrow and go from there i guess. But i did spray some starting fluid and dump some gas in the carb but it didn't even kick. Someone told me to doubt check my timing belt to make sure nothing happened to it. See what happens tomorrow

Alright, I checked the fuel pump, it primes but thats it. I put back the stock coil and still nothing. I changed the distributor cap and nothing. I then check and theres no spark coming out of the distributor cap. Coil is throwing out voltage to the cap but nothing is coming out of it. Replaced rotor and still nothing. Is it possible to burn something out in the ignition system by putting on a blaster coil? I really don't know where to go from here cept take it to a mechanic and see what happens.

i have a blaster 2 coil, nothing bad has ever came from it. so are you saying the coil is sending power to the cap, but the cap is not working? what condition is the coil wire in? if its not sparking off of the coil wire, then maybe its bad. but the ignition system is pretty simple on these cars. nothing real complicated or anything so probably an easy fix.

i changed the coil wire and still nothing. I'm just getting nothing out of the cap and i've replaced the cap and rotor. I'm towing down to the shop here in a bit, see what happens
