So now ive got my b16 in and tuned. The only problem is i randomly throw the vss code and it wont let me hit vtec without resetting the key. Pain in the ass. I hate check engine lights. So heres the the question, all you guys with b-series swaps what have you done. Are you still obd0? Or have you found a trick? I have double and triple checked my wiring. Im runnin a p28 ecu tuned with chrome pro. ANY SUGGESTIONS will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You need to add a 6k resister to the vss and a diode. Here some pics of how some of the other guys have done it.

Thank you guys sooo much im so tired of the cel. Im leaving to go to radio shack now!!! As for the chrome pro all disabling vss does is for vtec speed check. Which enables you to hit vtec without a vss until a random check pulls the code. Also it fools the ecu into thinking its in neutral all the time. So no gear or load correction from the ecu! A BIG TUNING NO NO. BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DO THIS. Meaning tune rich to compensate for the higher loads in higher gears and pull a few hills in high gear just to be sure dding you dont go llean. Just a tip though.
Thanks again
Jeremy

I don't think radio shack carries the correct parts, if i remember right. I have a few extra of the resistor and diode, If you want them shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.

Ok your right. I went to RS and they talked me into a 5.6K resistor and a 12v diode. It didnt work.Let me try the right ones and if that dont work ill have to ask for some more suggestions. Thanks again.
