Well I found an 88-89 Accord for a donor car and it looks like it's in pretty good shape. Don'tknow if it runs yet, but owner said it did before he parked it, but it just smoked a bit and burnt oil. He wants 275 for the car and it looks to be an Lx-i, might possibly be an Se-i but can't tell (didn't fully look at the car) I believe it's an LX-i though, as it has more base model rims and not SE-i stocks. Question: did some LX-i's come with the moonroof visor and leather? I'm guessing this could be special ordered but I'm not sure. I wonder if 275 is worth it. Looks to be in pretty good shape on the outside, would anyone want to buy any parts? It's white.

its probably a lx-i with se-i interior swapped into it, i dont know much about the US models though, but if its a donor car, what parts are you after? engine, body, interior etc..?

Only SE-i came with leather, but someone could of swapped the interior at one time?

Moonroof visors were purely optional

Well, being in the part of town it is.....I don't think anyone would have swapped it out. I'm not 100% sure if it leather like I said i havent completely looked over the car. Plus I know the cars been parked there for at least 7-10 years. It has held up well, I guess it's because of the tree cover. So there was no dealer oriented leather ordering?

nope only SE-i Had it.

Be Advised if the car hasnt been started or driven in 7-10 years it's going to need a full rebuild, also all bearings will need to be replaced along with CV Half Shafts, and things of that nature.

so if it's just for Body and interior parts , great, otherwise IDK

^ We like to do some backyeard engineering here, so mostly i am getting it for the parts I need plus extra replacements. Back to the backyard engineering.....I will probably just blow the motor up if it even turns over.....:)

it could of been....i remember seeing a DX on craigslist with leather maroon interior...and it was butt ugly...they wanted like 4k for the car since it only had like 57,000 miles

Thats what I was thinking. I thought just about anything can be a dealer option if you pay enough.

I can get all the parts I need for the conversion at the jy for 50 :). Plus if the car runs, I have a new idea.....SCCA here I come.

Well if it has a leather interior i might be interested in buying it from you, not the whole car just the interior.

Cool, yeah I'll post what I'm parting out when I finally get the car. I just can't until I get a freaking dolly, or something to pull it on.

Well found out it is just a dealer upgraded LX-I, but I'm picking it up tomorrow. It doesn't have leather like I initially thought, and it a perfect maroon interior though. The guy said the car was running when he parked it and I believe it. To have been sitting for a few years, the engine is CLEAN. I'm gonna put some fluids, and a battery in her and probably be able to fire her up. Body is pretty good. Might be keeping the car, unless my gf wants it.

Indeed, this might become a track car....if it runs.

Oh yeah also found out it's only been parked there for about 2-3 years probably instead of the 7-10 I first thought.

Well I bought the car and it cleaned up real nice. I found out what was wrong with it.....turns out it was the fuel pump which I'll get a new one tomorrow, and the car will run. Only has 218,000 miles. Car had a full tank of gas...and the car ran when we poured some gas into the throttle body, so I can't wait. It will be alive. I have lots of parts to sell, as this is going to be a track car.
