So I began to do repairs. I was lucky to drive car in to a school garage. Where it all starts.

I run on a road def.rail, as you probably see.

Nothing else to do but to disassemble all damaged parts.
Here's what I end up with

Next day I got to work on the front.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/26012007008.jpg
Straighting it out first then weld it shot.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/26012007004.jpg
and paint it in primer.

It was a day of satisfaction. Lots done, pain in my hands and my back indicates a good progress.
Then it was time to repair damage at the rear.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/25012007016.jpg
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/25012007015.jpg
Shortly after a quick look i find that the car was damaged before at that area.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/25012007017.jpg

Tomisimo

While i was rubbing that ass full of filler I discovered that under rear bumper it was rust, lots of it.

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/01022007.jpg
Gues how much rust theres on the inside?!

Tomisimo
03-23-2007, 09:47 AM
To bad i have no picks of that moment. But i do have this cut out hole
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/05022007001.jpg

At this time i got low on resources (money). I had no choice but to make my own panels and inner arches. Where the hole is. I had to make them in sections, because of curvature of it and puzzle it all together.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/05022007028.jpg
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/07022007001.jpg

Because I don't have a spare outside panel I used a sheet metal to form the arches.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/07022007006.jpg

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/07022007003.jpg

Yup... don't pretty sight. So I grind welds off
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/15032007006.jpg
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/15032007004.jpg
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/15032007025.jpg
That was it...
To tell you the truth, i'm kinda bored with all this metal shaping and laying under the car and weld in lotus position.
So i turned to more fun part of body work. Dent repairs.

Tomisimo
03-23-2007, 09:49 AM
To get to it I had to remove all door panels and windows. Rubber sealing and wiring.

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/Body%20Work/29012007016.jpg

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/Tomisimo/My%20Honda/22022007043-1.jpg
I fill it up with my damaged parts and derived it to JY.

So this whole week I have been in constant rush to do as much as possible.

I removed door moldings, welded fenders shot, reforbesh front bumper, fill body filler to my rear fender, sand it all and primer almost whole car.

why in the world is a shop teacher complaining about noise and smoke? my autobody tech teacher would love you being able to do that kind of work, if you went to school here with a diploma you could be a top body man. he has trouble getting some of his students to create dust and smoke, they want to hang out and not work. smoke is encouraged here. LOL. not everybody can do that kind of work, you have talent.

I was thinking to paint her, but theres much more body work must to be done. And a bodykit before she goes to paint booth...

I forgot to mention that i also have done the Short Shift. It was simple. I cut it in 3 peaces, cut out couple of mm. and then welded back together with TIG. now i have 30-40% shorter shift travel. )))
Also I've been at the J/Y resontly where i fund a boot from 5th gen Accord. That will be change soon... I also spotted nice Prelude seats. Was wandering if anyone have tried them to install in ours 3Gee? From 4th gen Lude. To bad, it had non VTec. Just F20a R-Cat SOHC in it.

Good work Torismo. Pics took a toll on my computers virtual memory, lol.

Maybe spray some rubberized undercoat on the bottom & around the fender wells real good, so as to block some of that snow & salt from rusting it up again. I dunno, that's what I plan on doing in the near future to keep the rust back.

it would be neat to see your accord with front lights and grille like the car next to you.

even the bumper on that car looks like the Mugen one.

Thank You. I'm not that much of a talent really. I just do what I think is necessary to keep my car going.
I wouldn't be happy to go at school You at. Reason why they whine is that we have a combined school, we have welders, mechanics, and carpenter's. Body Work is in one with a mechanics. Its just one module we need to get true. So thats a bit of a problem at my school, when someone do this much as i doo. but I dont care. I did what most toad was impossible...
Right now I search for a garage to rent so I cud finish what i started )))

I was thinking to deal with that problem a bit differently. I toad if I'm fiberglass two coats under each fender(wheel arches). and under the trunk. That way I newer and i mean Newer gonna get rust under there.... I'll maybe add couple of pound of weight to the car. but that i can live with.

Thet way I newer and i mean Newer gona get rust under there.... I'll maybe add couple of poundt of weight to the car. but thet i can live with.you have a tremendous amount of talent,99 percent of the population cannot do what you just did. If I was your teacher I wouldn't be complaining because the job of a teacher is to encourage talent. here in the united states the teachers have the problems of students not applying themselves to their work,or even wanting to learn. so when a student comes along with a lot of talent, and enthusiasm, they try to encourage them. it's sadly becoming a rare theing here for a student to say,hey I want to learn!! especially in the public schools. as far as your rust control go to www.eastwood.com, they make a three step rust control system that I personally know a lot of hot rodders who swear by it. the first step converts the rust, the second step seals it permamently, and the third step primes the surface. this stuff will stop your rust for good. also make sure when you get all done, you hose off the bottom of that car everyday, all the cracks and creviscis, get all that salt out. I know that one from personal experience being from the north. I see people who drive around with globs of salt and slush hanging off their car, then they wonder why it rusts.

Thank You for the tip. I was looking for something like that here but there wosint any. just unheard stuff.
This stuff is not expensive at all...
Maybe You are right about mi enthusiasm.. That is a bit of a problem for me, because teachers said to me that i do what i wont and dont listen to them. A part of me do but I'm not that bad that i dont take responsibility for what i do... Not every one cam understand me, my passion about doing things with cars. So i think that this gonna be written in mi resume, one day. :( I dream about a job where i can get freedom do do custom cars. But here in Norway there's no Car Culture at all... Lows are so straight so you can not bend them. Like a old saing says. - You need to piss straight... Mi only option then is to make mi oun livin by starting mi oun custom shop... Thet is a nice thoat, but in this burocratick seciety its not thet easy.... Well well. Thenk You for understanding me. Realy appretiate it...

Nice work! I tried to put 4g lude seats in my accord...It's possible but you would have to make new rails because the lude seats are wider than the accord seats. I ended up selling them and buying 3g lude seats :)

Ok. So 3G lude bolts on? I find out thet ur seats can be separated from the rails, you just unscrew the pillows from mechanism. I wanted if its possible to change just those, that way you'll get sports seats with original rails.
just a toad.

hey, if you really want to pursure what you're doing as a career, move over here and flex your skills.

I think if you really want to make it happen you can pull it off. Even if you don't, it'll be an adventure.
