note some of these pictures were taken in front of Kegans former BP service station,Mr. Kegan is now suffering from Dementia in his eigties, but he sat in that station up until about 3 years ago,he wasn't able to fix cars anymore, but he was still changing tires and selling snacks. people were taking advantage of him though and robbing him of his money and breaking in on a regular basis. I used to sit with him up there on Saturdays a lot. he had to quit selling gas a long time ago,but for years this was the only station downtown. as a matter of fact it still is the only one.

Gas flap removed for weight reduction?for paint,no point in putting it back on until after paint. I don't drive it much right now to protect the primer until it's painted in a couple of weeks.

thank you,it's just one of many different styles on here. I guess the best way to describe it is a drivers car,I built it to drive. sometimes go to shows when it's done, but to drive it there is the point. oh the trim is all off right now, including the spoiler too, the trim is in the process of being restored piece by piece.

Man, I'm really liking the hatch. We've got to meet up one of these days, if it's me coming up there, or you here.

See, I've been drawn into the minitrucking scene. You build what you like. In the end, if someone built it, it's a work of art. It's from the soul.

What Tim has built here is his work of driving art. Everything has a function, and everything is in his own taste. It's all either built, modified, or restored by him and his wife. THAT'S the definition of dedication.

Great work. I look foreward to seeing it painted!

thanks:) I always say if it's custom it's not something you buy in a store,or at least in the same state it was in before you bought it. what kind of minitrucks are you into? I'm going to be finished with the body work part of the accord soon, and I'm buying a 72 datsun minitruck from someone I know. 100 bucks. it does run and drive, just needs lots of work. have to put a master cyl. in it before I can drive it home. been kind of ragged out really bad. I'll still be in school for a long time,so this is something else to work on. was going to gut it and fix the body first. going to be a while before I even think of the mechanical stuff. thought of making it look like something someone might have customized in the 70's. shag carpeting, vintage lund accessories etc. easy and simple. not sure if i'll keep the L series or put a modern nissan powerplant in it down the road sometime. I saw one like this once with a later model nissan z twin turbo power plant in it. all z underneath the skin, and big ass tubbed tires in the bed. absolute insanity.

Mine's going to end up on bags. Probably a small turbo. The KA24 engine is a stout bugger. 350HP from a stock bottom end is the norm. Not bad for a single cammer designed in the mid-eighties :p

Let me thing. Is a 72 a 520 or a 620? A 520 would be great with a KA24, flat black paint, bucket seats, and about a 4 inch drop all around.
