Picked up Bullard123's gearbox today. Better confirm that this thing will actually bolt up to a B20A before I find out shipping costs etc.

yes you can but you wiil need to use the clutch from a a20a on the b18a trany. the splins shaft are smaller on the b18a then the b20a trany.

Wow it's not as if these gearboxes are weak or anything. God knows what he does with his cars. Anyway what goes around comes around, he's got himself in trouble somehow and paid the price.

I wonder if the other half of the tranny is at all interchangeable with the A20A tranny?

Interesting, that would sure save some money on shipping. But I don't have an A series gear to compare it too. I'll take some more pics tomorrow.

That is EXACTLY what I've been trying to find out lately.

All we woul need to do is swap the bellhousing on an A20A tranny and the problem's over.

Shipping bellhousings is cheap too...

I'll try and take a look at the parts catalogue I have here.

It does cross reference to an A20A tranny.... except for the bellhousing...

man your making me sound bad. lol your gearbox blew because of a bent half shaft that caused the dif to lock and when i changed into 2nd the day after installing it BANg fucked it. so yeah i have to not only find you a new gearbox but axles aswell cause they are bent!!!!!
