well i finally got some rims i paid 200 and they have pretty good tires but mix matched companys. I like them though... oh yeah and pics of the clutch install and the lip. I'm looking to change my muffler to either a gsr integra one or maybe a magnaflow... do you guys have any suggestions?

Looks great with drop. I love it. I dont know how you changed the clutch with just half of the garage space. When we changed mine, we used the whole garage and had parts laying everywhere. It helped with organization though, but even then, we forgot a couple of bolts.

thanks guys yeah it was pretty easy to do in that garage we have a little workshop area right behind it where we store stuff it only took us like 3 days but only worked for like 4 hrs a day and cleaned alot of stuff while down there.
Dennis: haha I love my accord way too much to leave it! and besides the prelude was automatic....and no i didn't paint it black however the trim is still black and the hood and headlights are black also. Check out those heat lines on the stock clutch! that's after running on the 1/8th not to mention the days when I feel like having a little fun and the rainy days :)

nice...i like the rims....anyways...nice work on the clutch...and yeah geddy is right we did the trans in like half the garage...the car was sticking half way out....anyways...what size tires are you running? cuz you got some wheel gap even with a 2.25 inch drop...im dropped 1.5 and on the rear i can only put 1 finger and on the front like 2.5

thanks guys! yeah my dad and I painted it like last year. Im runing 195/50 it does make my wheel gap bigger than it was with the stock rims...kinda weird well it doesn't bother me much because i usually have tons of kids in my car so then they tuck pretty well lol. I will probably do the setup legendmaster is working on anyways after i save up enough money! Saturday i went out to the races and i raced my friends DA integra from a second gear pull and beat him by maybe a car and half it was pretty fun, can't wait to get the cam gear! oh yeah and the car is charcoal grey not black just looks black in the shade. What muffler should i use give me some ideas!

You have any info on the process and paint you used? It looks really good. Also do you plan to clear it or no? And as far as mufflers go I have a generic Magnaflow muffler and it is a nice low tone, not a ricer droning sound.

I used urethane based paint they say you don't need a clear coat. Hook up a spray gun to an air compressor with a water trap and your good to go, of course you need to prep it also lots of sanding and primer. Yeah magnaflow seems like a good company my sister has one for her prelude but for some reason it sounds weird on her car...so im not sure i'll just keep looking.

Well I felt like we were cramped with the whole garage space, so I don't know how you nor 87lxiaccord did. That whole project was hell though. We had no garage heater then, and the temperature was in the 20's. And then my dad put gear oil in the transmission instead of 10w30 motor oil or honda transmission fluid, so my gears whined like a baby (but I flushed that out and put in 10w30 motor oil) . And we forgot to connect the transmission mount, so my transmission kept "shifting" and it was hard to get into gear (and i finally got tired of that, searched for the problem and found it).

Bottom line, take your time when you do something important like a clutch job, and dont do it in sub-freezing temps. It gets to your head.

87lxiaccord, what clutch did you put in there?

lol yeah make sure to take your time, our weather was great though in the 80's. It's an oem replacement exedy i like it so far it grips really well i was even spinning the wheels on the track.

lets see if if likes the extra weight of the fat fives.....i know my clutch did not like it...i had to adjust it cuz it was slipping too much

Looks good.

Doing the clutch isn't that bad, I just did mine a few weeks ago by myself. I started about 10:30a and was done by 7P. I was taking my time and doing it by the instructions in the shop manual, I had the tranny out by 1p. The hardest part was muscling the tranny back in while trying to align it. I got frustrated after about half an hour of trying to get it in and took a break, then went back at it and finally got it in and my brother came home about 2 minutes later, I was like "sure now you show up i could of use you help a while ago."

yeah it is definetly one of those jobs where you need an extra hand. Actually the clutch is doing fine with them I can still hit second gear rubber and spin them from a take off. My clutch likes to listen itself up so I adjust it like every 2 weeks.
