i hope i will be the nicest when i say.... no.

not even close... but then again, how deep are your pockets.... but then again if you had the money you would be better off with a h22 vtec. swaps like that will run you 1-2g's easily or more.

try searching, the h22's been done before but really expensive.

1-2g's into a a20 and could be faster than f22 series anyway..

sorry to break yer spirit..

theres no point in dropping in a f22, they aren't that powerful and are still sohc. simple bolt ons could bring your a20 up to the same power as a f22

First off, Welcome To The Forum :welcome:

Nope, The Most common swap for a Carbed 3rd gen would be:
EFI Swap (A20A3: 86-87 110HP/88-89 122HP) or the more expensive but have been done are: B16 DOHC Motor: 140HP-160HP or B18 DOHC Motor: 140HP-170HP.

The Most Expensive is the F Series or H Series, A couple people are known to do the H22 motor, but with the power the H22 has over the F Series it would be stupid to invest the Few Thousand Dollars thats needed to swap both the F Series and H Series and use a Lower Power F Series.

Now for comparison:

F22B Motor:

F22B1

This engine was used in the 1994-1997 Honda Accord EX and Acura 2.2CL. It was the first F engine to feature VTEC.

Specifications

* Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 95.0 mm
* Displacement: 2156 cc
* Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves, VTEC
* Compression ratio: 8.8:1
* Max power: 145 hp (108 kW) @ 5500 rpm
* Max torque: 147 ft·lbf (199 Nm) @ 4500 rpm

[edit] F22B2

This engine was used in the 1994-1997 Honda Accord DX and LX. The F22B6 in the 1995-1997 Honda Odyssey and the F22B8 in the Honda Shuttle are substantially similar.

Specifications

* Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 95.0 mm
* Displacement: 2156 cc
* Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves
* Compression ratio: 8.8:1
* Max power: 130 hp (97 kW) @ 5300 rpm
* Max torque: 139 ft·lbf (188 Nm) @ 4200 rpm

and now the H22 Motor:

H22A

The H22A debuted in 1993 for use in the Honda Prelude VTEC as the H22A1. Versions of the H22A would be the Prelude's signature high-performance engine worldwide until the end of Prelude production in 2001. It was also used in the 1994–1997 Honda Accord SiR and 1998–2002 Honda Accord Euro-R in Japan (however different cams and lightweight crank were used in the Euro R H22A). The H22A in the Prelude Type-S and CL1 Euro-R came with the trademark red crackle finish valve cover.

Specifications

* Bore × Stroke: 87.0 × 90.70 mm
* Displacement: 2157 cc (132 cu. in.)
* Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves, VTEC
* Type: In-line 4 cylinder, aluminum block and head
* Compression ratio: 10.0:1 (North America); 10.6–11.0:1 (Japan)
* Max power: 190PS (CD6 Accord); 200PS (BB1/4/6 Prelude SiR's); 220PS (Euro-R & Prelude Type-S) (142–164 kW)
* Max torque: 156–163 ft·lbf (207–217 Nm)
* Redline: 7500 rpm
* Engine Control System: Honda Systems PGM-FI with port fuel injection
* Valve Gear: Belt-driven dual overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, variable timing and lift
* Engine Oil Capacity w/ Filter: 5.1 Liters

H22A4

* The H22A4 is the designation of the engine used in the Base and Type-SH 97-01 Honda Prelude.

This engine was only released in the US in all their models, and these are designated with the "black tops".

H22A8

* This motor was only released within the European versions of the Prelude and can be designated with the "red tops".

Also another option would be to do the A20A3 Swap and Turbo it!

well since you got LX, you have to convert to EFI first and go from there.
you better off selling the car and buy something that won't require custom mounts, custom shifter linkage, custom wiring harness, custom axels and so on and on.
H or F series swap can run you anywhere between $2500 to $5000 and above depending if you are going to make your own mounts, wiring and shifter linkage.
sell the car, add a little more and get 4g or 5G accord.
