After all the times I have looked at that pic, I just noticed there is dirt being kicked up like it is moving. But there is no driver PHOTOSHOP.

i noticed the dirt being flicked up too, but never taken any notice of there being no driver lol

but then again that dirt being flicked up looks like a dip in the road

this is a bold statement, but once my teg b18 is in the car... i'm going to start collecting crv realtime awd drivetrain.

im no expert but im guessing you cant do it with a honda engine, you'd prolly have to drop in a rwd engine and tranny....

Stop it. Seriously, it's all custom parts and whatnot. If you had the money to even think about this, I hope you wouldn't be driving a 3g.

I agree...I like my 3gee alot but I dunno if I would put that much money and time into it... I would keep my 3gee and get another car lol

No, I'm not going to lock it unless it continues. There was a longass thread some time ago about some guy who was going to do the m4d tyt3 rwd swap (y0!) and it dragged on too long.

Bottom line is, if you want a rwd car that bad, just sell your 3g and get one. Plenty of good options (with real aftermarket support, to boot ;) ).

MONSTER 3g

nah, i'm gonna use it for autox, i already beat more than half the cars at the autox events, i just think it would cool to show them up even more, and even better... in an old accord... i love that car, i wouldn't get rid of it for anything.

its been done before to a smaller honda, a del sol actually, and its sweet... aside doing abit of cutting and welding, my problems are just finding the parts, and them being in good shape

AWD Del Sol (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1708933)

my purpose of the future project is strickly an onroad vehicle, mainly for racing.... the question is can the crv drivetrain stand up to that kind of abuse.

I would have to say that it would not hold up to a lot of abuse, unless you had it pulled apart and had all the parts strengthened, then rebuilt it. That would be a sick setup. Have you ever thought about placing a V6 in the back of a 3gee, like the c27 or something similar. That would be a beast.

Here is a turbo c27 in the back of a civic. The guy that did this was a genius, he put a c27 in the front of an EF civic :wtf: . It barely fit.

nah, i want people to question the 5 bolt wheel pattern on this accord... or wonder why the ass end goes into a drift when i hit the gas halfway through a corner at autox. i want to keep the interior/exterior appearance of the car relatively stock.

i bet that civic is hella fun to drive tho.

Yeah, come on - anything is POSSIBLE, depending on what you want to spend in money AND time, and how much you want to change things: at some point the car becomes more of one thing and less of the other. Friend of mine, for example, used to have a little Mercury Bobcat hatchback (essentially a Pinto under a different badge) that he loved and wanted to "soup up"... he flipped one day when he saw a jacked-up 4x4 version of his car... then he found out it was basically just the Bobcat body stuck on top of the frame and drivetrain of a Toyota 4x4 pickup. Is it a Bobcat? Is it a Toyota? Is it EITHER anymore?

Your main obstacle in a conversion like this is going to be getting the power from the front to the back of the car... you need to either turn the engine longitudinally and use a standard tranny for a RWD, or add some sort of transfer case off the output of the stock tranny... something to turn the propulsion 90 degrees and send it to the back of the car. Adding a driveshaft and rear differential is trivial after that... of course, then you need to decide whether it'll be a free-floating diff with CV shafts to work with your independent suspension (mating the power to the wheels is another challenge there), or just replace the whole thing with a fixed rear axle, which means some pretty custom suspension work...

Or just do like the guy with the Bobcat, rip all the underbody out of the 3gee and bolt it on top of a 240SX or something that's already RWD.

Well you know my International Scout 2 has a 100" inch wheel base and the body is in pretty sore shape. Himmm might be an idea.
