South East Meet

I've seen a lot of members in the southeast posting, like roodoo2 said we gotta show Cali what's up.

I agree. I say something like Southeast GA. Jax, FL, might work nicely as well. Atlanta is a full 12-14 hours away from some Floridians.

Does anyone know Brunswick or Valdosta well? I think both of these cities have potential for us.

Savannah would be sweet. It is right on I-95 for the FL's and SC's and down I-16 for us Atl's.

Another winning idea! It's a bit touristy, so it'll be more expensive than Brunswick or Valdosta, but I see real potential!

wow, yeah, that's kinda sucky. The Floridians south of me may not be interested in driving to GA. I do plan on holding a meet in like Tampa for the southern 3geezers sometime this summer.

I say we have two separate meets. I'd like to get a general area meet, then a Florida meet going. Daytona is perfect for me. Orlando isn't bad, either.

Cali has their own club, essentially. I think FL/GA guys can have the same.

Seems to me that I-75 is the central corridor for SE. Just a suggestion, I am flexable and contributing. There is a huge agricultural convention building around Perry that would be a good place. I will add that Savannah is hard to get to unless your on 95. Nice place though.
I know Valdosta, its a 5.5 hour drive from here. Oh and I-16 is one of the longest , boreing interstates I ever traveled, we went to Savannah from Macon one day, coming from Atlanta and I swore I would never go that way again. They mandated no Billboards on that highway, I dont know if that changed yet or notl.

Yeah I hope we can get a meet up this summer. Hell, if we can get a meet up lets have a BBQ. On top of that steak, burgers, hotdogs, skys the limit. The only problem with that is finding places with parks that have grills. I would suggest Atlanta as a central place, but I think unless someone scouts it out, parking would be hard to come by. There are a lot of meets at the Varsity though, and I believe they arecool with it. Hell if anyone wants to drive to Gainesville we'll have a meet at my house. We live in the country and have a huge yard. There is a lot of open road around, and I'm a hop skip and jump away from Buford, Atl, and others.

Nothing against Savannah, River Street rocks so does Tybee...Nice suspended bridge I-95 visable from River St.
anyway, another good place on 75 south of Allanta is High Falls Park, we went there two weeks ago while visiting in Butts County (Jackson Ga) Nice photo ops.
