2ng perlude tranny

hi, i have a 84 lude and i want to now what motor bolts up to my tranny with no problem.i have ask this question at preludepower but no one can give me the answer i am looking for.everyone gives me a song and dance bout performance i am not looking for that.it a es1 so does an a20 or a20a3 or what.i have search myself do death and nothing.thanks

ok, I hope I am correct, not real familiar with es1 interchanges...But....
I believe the es1 is close to the same as an A series A18. And from there All A20 no matter what the rest of the suffix are afterwards (A20A1, A20a3, etc.) the bell housing is the same.

read this post, in between the lines it appears you can swap in an A20 without swapping transmission.
