I want to do a swap in my 3g. I wanted to go JDM B20A But I've found that it's a b**** to get. So I figured I'd go B18. but I need to know what axels to use. I'm not sure how it goes but I'd figure you'd need to use hybrid axels?
Please let me know if I do and what to use if so. Thanks.

well i would say a jdb b18 would be a step down but a usdm b18 would be alot of work lol u would need custom axils, motor mounts etc etc etc

That's what I figured. I can do the mounts and everything just fine. The only question is what axels I'd need to use and what I'd need to hybrid with them.

id say get the one from (i dont know which car it was) but the US one, much easier to find than the b18 that came in these cars

find the member here who has the last known unused set of the place racing mounts and axles and see if you can't get him to sell you the blueprints then just take them to a shop and have them fabbed up. or, check out the thread titled "how to swap in a b-series without a mount kit." i think it's covered in there as well as to what axles he used. it's usually some sort of combination of accord/integra outers and inners. and if you think getting jdm b20a is hard, then the jdm accord b18a is damn near impossible.

I will, thank you. but like I said the mounts really aren't a problem. it's the axles I'm woried about. but I'll check it out to see what I can find. I was even thinking a D-series. A ZC or something. And I"'ve also heard a lot of good things about the USDM B20B long block. Are these false statements?

what are u going to be using the b20b longblock for? if you're going to build a cr-vtec and put it in, then it's the same process to swap it in as any other engine of the b-series engines (b16a, ls b18a/b, etc.). go to a civic/integra forum for more info on the cr-vtec build. and i don't think there is any single axles that will just bolt up to a b-series accord perfectly besides the custom place racing ones. so, you'll probably have to match inners and outers from different cars 'til you get it right.

do you amricans have a18a engines??? try taking your injection shit off your a20a3s and 4s and stick it on an a18a with your a20 ecu cause my a18ai hybrid went just about as fast as my b20a did..jst an idea....

Not sure really. They are just cheap. And I heard they are great under boost. But I'm really thinking I'm just going LS Vtec. Just wondering if anyone coupld tell me the axles they used on their B18.

that is a rare motor....but its one of the best. the axels should not be a problem if you know how to mix and match parts.

yea I know I jumped at the sound of that being sold. A buddy of a buddy has it. Just rebuilt, port polished, cable tranny, ECU and harness, and axles. Only thing missing is stock air box but I don't want it anyway. Only 600. It's a steal and I love it. lol
