...and I passed the shit out of hit. Except for NOx I just barely made it past that. Possibly a clogged EGR valve?
25/25 Test
Reading Allowed
HC 69 181
CO 0.11 1.16
NOx 1312 1313
CO+CO2 14.7 6.0min
50/15 Test
HC 55 187
CO 0.05 1.05
NOx 1121 1438
CO+CO2 14.7 6.0min
Now I can go get my tag. Gotta think of a clever custom one....

Here's the thing with custom tags. Let's say you, ah, pass someone that's chugging along too slow, or you do anything to piss someone off. People are very willing to pick up their cell phones these days and drop a dime on you. If you have a bunch of letters and numbers on your plate they might not be able to remember it, but if you have a nice, easy-to-remember custom plate, they'll get it, and then you'll get it. Food for thought.

The high NOx is probably your converter.

The converter is brand new, I hope it isn't that. I was under the impression CO% was a product of your cat. I was more or less kidding about the custom tag. They look cool but I think they're around $75 here and if it doesn't add horsepower or improve handling it's not really in my budget right now.

NOx output results from high combustion temperatures at which nitro compounds are oxidized. Wiki link for NOx (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen_oxide#NOx) and EGR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exhaust_gas_recirculation). Since the EGR system is supposed to limit NOx output, you are on the right track for diagnosing the issue. EGR valve problems aren't that uncommon on these cars. HTH

yep anywhere around the perimeter interstate 285 you have get sniffed

Do any of the dealerships around you sell BG products? They are the best for intake cleaning and fuel sys, egr.

Yeah they don't do them here in Colorado anymore either

I did Seafoam a month or so ago. Also new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, catalytic converter, fuel filter, air filter around that same time. Also I noticed today my coolant was low so that could've contributed to the increases combustion temps but I'm no expert.

i ran seafoam during the test...it put it in the engine and in the fuel system. i also put in middle grade gas.

I saw a giant Hummer the other day with one that said "15 MPG". Gotta love that even though it's more like 10-12mpg.

I hate :gun: emissions. Maybe I should transfer my residence to my fraternity house cause they don't have emissions there. :)

straight pipes wood make it too loud.. we have a "boy racer" act over here which trys to keep our cars at stock volume lol but no one listens.. specially the rotary retards and their rowdy gay rotarys. other than that only emissions is visible exhaust smoke and tht means my car passes every time:)
