Ok, I have never gotten a straight answer about this.. Only respond if you have converted to a weber carb. Was there a very noticable performace boost?

Yes. You'll notice a lot more pick up especially in the 3,000-5,000rpm range.

Would've responded sooner, but I haven't had time to go through all these posts.

Are the carbs easy to install by yourself if your not a mechanic? And how long would it normally take for the 32/36 Weber? Just wondering if I should wait until I take a mechanics class in college and use one of the bays. (I can usually figure stuff out, if I have some help and I know what I'm getting into.)

The only hassle is to remove all the vacuum lines you won't be needing anymore and starting it to run for the first time. To get it to run I had the help of some one who is used to carburetors to tune it right so it could run. Everything else is straight forward. And I see you have a 5 speed, so that makes things that more simple.

Is it hard to take off the airbox ( I haven't even looked at it to remove it) Also would you recommend putting pacesetter headers in at the same time or does it matter? Or would it be too much for one days work?

No, you just need to make sure you label the hoses and such that you will be needing for the weber conversion.

As far as the Headers, it's up to you if you feel like doing it. It would be to your benefit since you are giving your engine more air to run that you also want to give it an efficient way to get out. Again, not really necessary when you install the weber, but later on down the line, if you really want to harness all that power, the combination of headers and the weber carburetor will definitely give you more power.

you only need 2 vacuum hoses... well 3 if you count the fuel line.
vacuum hose size is 5/32"
