Is the idle mixture screw supposed to be in that hole under this cap?

When i look inside that little hole it looks like there is just a piece of solid metal and no screw. Do you need to remove the cap first? And how do you guys adjust it when there is such little room, seems nearly impossible.

Is this plate supposed to barely move? I used a screwdriver to try to move it a little and it barely moves like a 1/8inch.

And when adjusting the aux float screw i turned it all the way in and a little bit of fuel came out. Is this normal? I then proceeded to turn it 1-3/4 out.

Sorry for asking so many questions, i'm a carb newbie.

Can't help with mixture screw as CVCC carb is very different with those craps compared to mine.

As for that plate, looks like secondary throttle? If it is, yes its normal to be like that

edit: have you tried pusing it by hand on the side of the carb?

looking at the carb pic alone is enough to make me scared lol

It's probably that your secondary will only open if the primary is already open, like the 2bbl keihin, we have a little cam on the throttle shaft that inhibits the opening of the secondary till the primary is almost fully open.

What year is your car? If it's an 81, I can post the page from the manual with the CVCC carb on it. But the Canadian one that guyhatesmycar posted should be really close.

Yes it is an 81.

I'm having trouble trying to get that cover off...
Accord to the pic... I got the 2 green screws off. I believe the idle mixture screw is under that metal piece shown by the red arrow. How do i get the 3 blue screws off which heads are on the opposite side with such little room.
