Catalyst - Update! (warning 56k)

Looks like its time for another update. I wasn't satisfied with the paint job that I did on my hood and headlight covers, so I had them professionally painted, and you know what that means... an excuse for a photoshoot. Enjoy.

PS: Those dents on the hood came from the paint place, the hood was perfect when I brought it to them. :[

List of mods:
-Cat back exhaust with 2.25 mandrel bent piping, and a magnaflow XL series muffler.
-Prime 15in 5 spoke aluminum alloy wheels
-Kumho Ecsta Tires
-Freshly painted Hood, Headlight covers, grill, eyebrows, bumpers, and trim.
-Sounds System : Kenwood deck, 4 6in. Rockford Fosgate punch series component speakers.
-Other than that, shes stock.

Looks great, but in my opinion I would go with the 88-89 front and corner lights (unpainted) or maybe the JDM ones. You need something to break up all the solid black on the front. Either way good job, and drop that car like its hot :lol: .

Looks like I'll have to do some searching through the forums. And Pico, I will definitely head down to the pico shop when I do get my suspension stuff. Im just a little worried about dropping it with the wheels I have. Seems they have alot of offset ( I think its offset ) It looks like they would rub on stuff.

I like it. IMHO the only changes I would make would be to put stock headlight trim, and corners. ...and I would paint the roof black too, or even throw a checker-board on the roof ('ol skool).

Anyway, real nice. I like 'em clean. (And of course I'm partial to white hatchies for some odd reason)

One final note: About the lowering. Unless something changes with the DZ springs or coil-overs, I would avoid pairing either of those with Toki HP's like the plague. Last time I checked, the spring rate on the DZ's are WAY too hard for the Toki's to handle. You'll end up blowing the Toki's and riding like crap the whole time.

wow, not bad at all -- i had planned to do the same exact paint job on my hatch. i really like the ae86 paint scheme, so I'll be painting the bumpers, hood, and headlight covers as you did. I have a carbon fiber hood with keylocks that I may stick on to see how that looks... but regardless everything will be painted. might as well, then i can swap the hoods if i like...
