Odd Thing to Break

Last night I noticed a unusual amount of rattling from the glovebox. I figured it was something inside that had shifted. When I opened it I found out that the right hinge was totally broken. I ordered on from Majestic, but I thought that was a really weird thing to break. I guess up until now I thought the hinges were metal. They are plastic and attached to the glovebox with roll pins.

I guess somebody must have whacked it with their leg getting into or out of the car.

Yeah, I just hadn't heard anyone else mention a broken glovebox hinge before.

Amazing the things you get to replace if you keep a car long enough.

lol... keep it long enough and you get to replace the seats

On my old car I did have the seats reupholstered. Hopefully, I haven't gained so much weight that I would wear out the springs!
