hey guys, im new here. i have a 1988 accord lx 4-door carburated. its bone stock right now but i want to start modding it soon. i have a problem though. whenever i go around a turn, even if its the slightest bit sharp, the oil light will come on. does anyone know why it does this? if they do, please tell me because it's annoying.

have you got much oil in there? maybe there isnt much in there and when you turn it all goes to one side of the engine and (i cant really explain it from here, but i hope you get the picture)

i know it has enough oil i check it nearly every day and replace it every 2500 miles. idk whats wrong.

Well you might want to check you oil pressure. Either get a guage or have a mechanic check it for you.

If you pressure is low you might here the motor rattle on start up or just clank a little when idleing.

What weight oil do you use ? I perfer 10w40 myself in warm climates.

i use 10w30, but sounds to me like you dont have enough oil, or your pressures low. Sounds to me like your pressure is low, since you said your oil isnt low. Between the two dots right? anyway, our pans hold 4 1/2 quarts.

do you have an oil leak? or is your motor burning oil?

make sure you check the oil on level ground

fill to 1/16" under the top mark

if that doesn't fix it, maybe its the oil pump?

that could very well be it, its just reading low. But i would definately get it checked out, you dont want to blow your motor because you think something else is wrong, when your really just out of oil lmao.

theres no leak or anything...ive checked every possible problem and everything is fine...i cant figure out whats wrong.
