My friend picked up an 87 Hatch from this elderly lady. Car is a 5spd, has 132k, factory front lip, fogs and unfortunately a plethora of rust. All I have to say is that the factory front lip is absolutely beautiful. Here are the pics...

I've been driving the hatch for about a week now and I like it. Mechanically there don't seem to be any issues but that damn rust really ruins what could be a great car. I'd like to do what I can to reduce/stop the rust for now and possibly make some full replacements later on.

The rish isn't THAT bad...

replacement panels will take care of that.

gotta say, it's good to see another white hatch in CT. The lip is sick, and good to hear that it's in good shape mechanically. ...even if it is becoming one with the earth.

Nice hatch, when that thing turns to dust and blows away, you should send me your lip and fogs :) . Good luck with the ride.

lol. I would just enjoy that hatch untill it falls apart. It's beyond the point of reasonable justification for a repair. Maybe you will come to love it enough to buy a better one after it's time to bury this one.
And that's damned rare to find a lip like that! god speed!
