I went to the local sheet metal shop today to pick up a rocker panel i was going to put on my hatch and on the way home i stopped into the college to speak to my old instructore, on the way out, i let the clutch out to pull away and i heard what sounded like a plate shattering and then i had no gears 1st 2nd 3rd 4rth 5th and reverse were gone. I could still hear it grabbing when id let out the clutch but no go. I opened the hood and i looked right below where the starter goes and i see a hole in the tranny casing about the size of a large apple and i could see the ground when i looked down through it. unfortunately my parts car is an automatic so i need to go hunting fo a tranny. the weather is too shitty right now to go take pics but ill deffinatley be posting some soon :gun:

indeed indeed, does anybody know if a 90 prelude transmission will hook up to an a20?

only the 83-87 lude one will work but you will need the flywheel also since its a bit smaller.

It will be easier to just go to a junkyard and get another tranny.

well i have another hatch for parts, i meant to take pics of it today actually but it slipped my mind, i was looking at it on the weekend and its in better shape (asides from a few dents) and has lower kms on it its just that its an automatic, im desperate for wheels right now so i really got no choice of the matter.

haha i was actually thinking of getting sheet metal and some rivets and some seam sealer and rigging up a patch but then i need to find the peices of metal that fell out of the tranny to shove in there to make it work again lol

Any tranny from a 2 liter, 2nd Gen Prelude will fit your engine and flywheel.
