Yeah, the JDM ones will light up.

The ones you have are different because you got a sidemarker on the front fender.

I don't think that car is JDM. It looks like a pre-facelift model and the Japanese never had a pre-facelift fixed headlight model.

The JDM fixed headlight has clear side indicators/markers/whatever (they do light up) and is also mostly clear in the bumper lights

You can flip the lights in the bumper upside down to make them sit like that. They were never facing that way from the factory.

These are the ones I have on my car which are the true JDM type:

The orange ones I've seen appear in europe/russia some rare times but I dont know their excact story.

im confused. and not for the first time. if the bumper lights were flipped wouldn't that make ugly side lights and fuglyer indicaters. and i thought u got ur 3g from germany not jaypan

You can take out your bumper light, rotate it 180 degrees and then put it back in. Which will make them sit the way they do in the pictures you posted.

Yes I imported both my 3rd gens from germany. I just swapped out those ugly stock dummy lense reflectors with the JDM headlight indicators.

If that car was JDM, then there would be at least one here in New Zealand that looks like that. They only appeared in the JDM market around 87 or 88. They do not have amber corners or black on the tops of the bumpers

weird. if it was imported from anywhere else it would have 2 be charged higher taxes. right now tax is 300% 4 a average j car. wot exactly did u means about face lifted 3gs?

Look at these things:
- shape of front bumper
- color of the top of the front bumper
- color of the side markers (indicators)
- color of the lights in the bumpers

JDM cars changed in mid-late 87, their pre-facelift models were pop up lights only. So they only had cars like the white one, not like the ones in your photos.
