How would you like to open your doors and have fog flow out? I was playing with the fog machine at work and I started to imagine having it installed somewhere on the floor of my car... It requires 700W so I don't know if it would kill the alternator but it would be really funny to see. If I ever have enough cash to get an inverter powerful enough, I might give it a shot.

Holy shit I just had an even better idea! Run a powerful generator or something and hook up 4 fog machines in your trunk and then when you ever need to get away from someone, turn on the machines and pop the trunk hahaha.

A powerful enough inverter could handle it.. They're made for mini fridges and stuff. The problem would be the car not generating enough power.

That was my first idea but I don't think it would be easy to mount a fog machine under the car... You'd have to run the wiring into the car somehow.

well what if you put the fog machine say in your trunk ... and some how ran a tube with the fog going threw it to the underside of your car ?

netfreak

Could possibly work, but you'd have to really limit how much tubing you use because it will cause the fog to dissipate much quicker.

I was thinking the same thing but for car shows. Our cars don't got much to show underneeth the chassis, but with some Eurolite and a body kit, having it push out fog so that you can't see underneeth the car, but the eurolite is making all of the fog glow would probably get ya some points at a car show. Give TK that Idea, he might wanna use it since his car is one of the nicest on this board.

Too sweet hahah. Someone has to try it! If I did it on my car, someone would think it's on fire lol.

Wattage is Volts * Amps.

P=IV

Assuming there aren't any "gotchas" then 700w=I * 12...

so that's 58.3 amps. That's prolly half the peak output of the OEM alternator.

How's it going Mike?

Turns out one of the other members here is in a few of my automotive classes at school. That kinda sparked my interest back here.

That and Funstick has been posting on Thirdgen.org where I lurk alot so I figured I'd see how this turned out.
