ok fellows, in getting the ca5 ready for the jy, i removed all perf/aftermarket/upgrade parts and put the stock ones back on. including the headers and exhaust. i also have a set of pacesetter headers in the garage, so i figured i'd capitalize on this opportunity and compare the three. so w/o further ado, here goes.

stock vs. magnaflow cat/muffler, 2.25" mandrel-bent

and now, some dc on pacesetter action. let's see if dc can hold up it's claim.
[note: i couldn't find the pacesetters when i had the stock off the car, so i'll take pacesetter-stock comparison pix when i get my new lx-i. and i also couldn't find the pacesetter downpipe, so i only have primaries for the dc-pacesetter comparison. but more pix will be added soon.]

excellant work, that answers a lot of those questions for those wanting a header as to the benefits. The stock manifold does a good job, not bad actually for an iron boat anchor... but wow what a difference in weight alone!

uh... neither of those are mandrel bent...

Those are both pressure bent. Every exhaust shop does that regularly.

Nice comparisons though. got sound clips?
