Are they both from the same kinda gear box?
The LH side is different between Auto Gear Box and Manual Gear Box

I can see any reason for them to be diffrent?
I guess compare a shaft from each transmission?

NZ members go see whats a matta !!!:welcome:
hopefully nothing has come apart in the transaxle, you try puting the trans in neutral, or if it is, put it in second, or park if its auto.
Is it not going in all the way on transmission side? Are you putting the correct end, in?
maybe its not going in cause of those annoying rings on the ends of the axles

I would get it rebuilt, or get a new one... there's probably some bad reason why it came apart...

not supposed to come apart, it usually takes work to get it apart, better look at it good.

The inner tripode joint slides apart. It's fine.
