convert single din to double din (open read and replie asap thanks)

ok like the titles says i need to
convert to a double din dash thing so i can put some kick ass radio in my car
is there any way to do it ?

take out the cassette holder and make up something to fit it there

and the problem is that i wanna put a tv there and it needs to be in a more visable place since the nav and dvd and all

if not im going to have to just scrap the idea cuz i really dont wanna build a new dash or anything

for most cars it works like:
din to double din = no
double din to din = yes

you can make it fit but youd have to have a center console and modify the cassete holder to modify with some fiberglass/epoxy.

I managed to fit a 7" screen in mine and have no problems viewing it when I need to.

I highly doubt the flip out one will work cause the spot for the radio in the dash is kinda sunken in and when it would flip out would hit the dash and leave it looking towards the floor instead of your face.

I am currently working on a carputer project that sound similar to what your doing with your dash.

I have removed my heater/air controls so i can move them down to where your CD player is at the bottom and my screen is going all the way at the top just under the air vents. And between those will be a card reader, laptop cd drive and possibly a car stereo

i have a flip out but i dont like it and i dont have a problem viewing
while i drive
i dont like the sys and i can get something better for the same price.
conozo thats what i was thinking i was honestly thinking of cutting the controls out and and i guess not worry about it till winter comes.

i like conozos idea though only thing is how secure would it be? like im a perinoid type of persona and its going to be in the open all the time so i want it to be like this if they break in they aint leaving with the consol

I was also going to bolt everything down to the car and make the bolts only accessible in locations that i know of so that its hard to steal. I was also thinking of making a cover that can slide out and over the screen to cover it. It could be a screen made of fabric that rolls up and i just pull it out and attach it to a hook, like those car side window visors for kids and babies.
