Hey.. I was just looking at a pic of my hatch and realized that if I go the route I want to go, 17 or 18" wheels, if I keep the overall diameter the same so as not to screw up my speedo I'll probably end up with rubberband tires like the 20s on my BMW. I would rather get a little more meat on my sidewalls, but that theoretically will screw the speedo up.
You guys with 17/18s, what size tires do you run? Are they real tiny, and if you changed your tire diameter did you see much change in speedo? Thanks.

I think you can only run maybe a 215/40/17 before you start having rubbing issues.
Unless you leave it at 4x4 height.

if we went with 18 and up youll probably put you off like 1 or 2 mph.
you could gget 205/45/17 with no probs

Hey now, don't dis the 4x4 height.
215/40/17 would only be about 2.5% larger. So the speedo would be off by 2.5MPH at 100MPH, or 1.25MPH at 50MPH. Not enough to worry about.

IMO i think 17 inch rims are overkill...i would get 15 or 16 inch rims.
