I was browsing this site (www.slhondaparts.com)

And came across something strange. They list 2 kind of floor mats for the Hatchbacks

http://www.slhondaparts.com/browse.asp?Model=ACCORD&Year=1987&TrimLevel=3DR+DX&TransLevel=5MTKA&Section=G&Category=B++3601%7CFLOOR+MAT&PartCatalogId=13SE00&IRefNo=008&PartNoSelected=83301-SE0-A01ZA

This is the only one they list for the Coupes
http://www.slhondaparts.com/browse.asp?Model=ACCORD&Year=1989&TrimLevel=2DR+DX&TransLevel=5MTKA&Section=G&Category=B++3601%7CFLOOR+MAT&Doors=2&Emissions=KA&PartCatalogId=13SG70&IRefNo=008&PartNoSelected=83301-SE4-A06ZA

Is it me or 75 bucks for a brand new interior carpet is one heck of a deal?!?!?! What's the difference between that $500 one and the $75?

Are you talking about floor mats or carpeting for $75?

Well, I think honda lists the interior carpet as a floor mat. I think that the $75 one is actrally what we refer here as regular floor mats (the 4 piece carpets). I would be REALLY surprised if you could get that big piece of carpet for $75. However, the coupes are only listed for that $75 part which is odd. What's also weird is that they have a different part number for the actual floor mats in the "accessories" section:
http://www.slhondaparts.com/browse.asp?Model=ACCORD&Year=1987&Doors=&TrimLevel=3DR+DX&Emissions=&TransLevel=5MTKA&PartCatalogId=13SE00&Section=I&Category=XIN01++%7CACCESSORIES+-+INTERIOR

I was under that impression too but they have different part numbers for the coupes and hatch.

I'll call the Honda dealer tomorrow and see what they can come up with.

Well, you guys will have to do your homework and call your local dealers in the US. The Canadian carpets don't have the same part number (go figure). The part numbers I gave the guy at the dealer didn'T match anything he can have.

So... who's willing to ask for info? :D

I just called my dealer and he said they are not available anymore.

I called San Leandro and talked to a parts guy. He confirmed that the $500 one is the actual carpet and the $70 one is just floor mats. Not suprising really. However the caveat is that nothing is available. He said the only one that is a possibility is a brown carpet, but it doesn't actually say available it just doesn't say anything whereas the other colors say unavailable.

I also couldn't get window trim either. Man it sucks trying to get parts for a 20 year old car, heh.

PS, a quick Google search turned up http://www.wlsheadliners.com/8689-honda-accord-2dr-molded-carpet-p-409.html Looks decent, has a plethora of color options and is only ~$115.
