Nice.
Is your instrument panel lighting L.E.D.'s or something else?

I converted most the dash to blue leds, the dome lights to leds the fog lights to Luxeon star leds and the running lights on the front of the car to leds

Did the SE-i come in a 5 speed version? That would be much more fun is it was.

I never knew that. When I bought this car it was so difficult to get one because they got sold as soon as they hit the lot. I had a tan one bought out from under me. I never saw the manual option at the time.

You definitely have a gem there. You've taken great care of that car, and a couple more years and it will be a classic. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I saw a 88-89 LX-i in a parking lot yesterday that looked like it just came off the showroom floor. I didn't get close enough to it to see how many miles it had on it but it was extremely clean. Nice to see people taking good care of these cars.

Your SE-i is totally cool! It's great to see there are a few folks keeping it pretty much original. (I know, I know...this board is more into modding, but I'm not smart enuf for all that.)

My first Honda was an 86 Prelude Si, My Accord Se-i was my second and since I got the car I have gotten compliments on it mostly from younger people. Way more than I ever got on the Prelude. Still today teens come by my house to ask if I would sell it to them. I never would have expected that when I bought it. It also held together much better than the prelude did. The prelude turned into a rust bucket even though it was rust proofed by Ziebart.

5mm blue leds sanded to make them difuse. Sanding is key to good light distribution. I soldered them to the electrical traces going to the bulb sockets. Since they will last longer than the car there is no need to make them removeable. Once they are in put power on the traces to see how the light shines through. That way you can add more if needed or just adjust them if needed.

Nice ride! :) It's great to see another original owner car, I am still amazed how many here are still owned by the original purchaser.

I've owned it since is was new....
