July 2007 Accord of the Month - Wickedaccord

Congratulations again to Wickedaccord for winning AOM honors in July!



Wickedaccord

-bensons 2.0 resleeved GSR block, fully balanced and blue printed by bensons machine, cp pistons, manley rods, 9:1 compression
-PnP b16 head/multi angle valve job
-ctr cams
-hondata i/m gasket
-str 68mm t/b
-skunk springs/retainers
-hondata s200b p30 ecu
-LSD cable tranny
-full race stage3 GT turbo kit (GT35R)
-custom 3 inch exhaust
-itr cams
-itr manifold

A fantastic 409whp at a mere 12psi, at 17psi, it made giant mid range power. Top end dropped off because the injector size are too small. We should have gotten 750cc injectors, but no one expected this amount of power at just 12psi. 486whp could have easily been achieved with 750cc injectors. Possibly just a little over 500whp. Another problem was due to clutch slippage. Again, no one expected these numbers. So a stage3 exedy clutch was opted for. Now we have to get an exedy twin plate with flywheel.

This is funny, wicked also won last years june aom award and he hasnt been on since may. Only in a 3g forum is this possible lol so um congrats for the second time and im sure il be here next june when you win again.

I think the admins stated that the true point of the AOM is to have a decent looking ride on the front page. If people wanted to see unmodified plain cars then they can go out on the road and look at them everywhere. Also if you guys are so tired of it, dont vote for them :thumbup: . Not trying to be a dick to everybody, I'm just making a point.

I know where your going, but there is so many other cars that can be nominated. It's just lame seeing the 'same ol same ol'. Come on, if you like going around in circles then I guess that is what is going to happen here. Lets keep up the the circle of nominations, ONE BIG CIRCLE.

sorry guys but thats kind of the point. Most (as i said most) AOM winners are frequent posters, and deserve it completely. The others will be phased out im sure, as a lot of cars are coming out of nowhere with crazy awesome mods. If everyone else agreed with you, Wicked wouldn't have won.

Thanks for the vote and nomination. I appreciate the comments and appreciation. I do come on and read, but I don't post. I don't see why I should make a comment when someone else with the same idea already said it. Sorry for not being a post whore but I've been a 3geez member since the original board. I just don't see a point to posting a comment on every thread. There's enough people here to give good comments and good advice. I just see my car being here as an inspiration.

Yeah you're right about seeing the same cars winning it. But like what Legend says, who wants to see a stock car win. Sure there are great looking accords, but if you don't want to see the same cars winning, then you should advise more people to nominate. Again I'm here for information and I've gotten great information about suspension set ups from Legend and Johnny O's posts. So don't bash me for not posting or being here often. I just prefer to come on here as a guest. If I have a pm, I'll get an email and check it. So thanks again for the AOM and i'll be posting up the most current set up.

I just retuned at 12psi with 750cc injectors to make 430whp and 475whp at 17psi. All on 91 octane pump gas. It's too bad I never got a video of it whipping on my STi and my friends Evo9 mr. But I'll post an update soon. Thanks guys

i totally agree with you jon. Unfortunately, the mods didnt and they changed it to where you and anyone who wins after you cant win again for 2 years. Thats cool with me i guess.

Hey no offense taken and I agree with you. I do notice a trend of the same cars winning also. And to be honest, I don't expect to win it simply because I don't even have an A20 motor to sport. But hopefully this 2 year cycle thing will work and we'll see other capable accords win.

If I remember correctly, wickedaccord won the last AOM with a different motor and setup on his car. So I think that this win was pretty fair. Still can't believe that this beast can wield 475 ponies.

man that is sweet. what kind of funds did that cost? I should defenitly start taking new pics of my car and try to get nominated cuz mine isnt stock. I rebuilt the engine bored the piston 0.050 over replaced the crankshaft removed the AC and Cruise. in the process of redoing my interior I have neons on it a black hood I made carbon fiber eyelids aftermarket muffler, I changed the rear H logo into a biohazard symbol. all kinds of stuff I have a wicked system that looks like nos too lol
