is it really worth it to buy a "high flow" converter.....does it really increase exhaust flow or performance? thanks

Well, most states you have to have a Cat Converter. Its a Emmissions law. So yea, if you have to do an emissions test in your state and want high performance I think I'd say to go with the cat converter.

Well from what I've been hearing (depending on the car itself)'high flow' cat's can add approx. 5-15 hp. I plan to do it on my Accord (I NEED ALL THE HP I CAN GET)

what about no cat? any gains there versus high flow cats?

well i thinking about that too, just having what is called a "test pipe" for a cat.

i have no cat or resonator... that was the first thang i did to my car... it improves the upper rpm range... i hit 3500 rpm and the car took off like a rocket!

having a straight pipe makes your car loud, it stinks and your more prone to backfire

that is bullshit about adding 5-15hp. Do u think they really test those numbers?? its like saying, u get those aluminum bolts, and shit makes ur car lighter getting u go fast. My friend has a 2gen MR2 and he spent 800 BUcks and imported a TRD header for his car. U know how much it increased his hp on the dyno? 3hp. Its funny how ppl say a header increases 5-10 hp. cause its no way near it. yes it does increase ur hp and torque range, but numbers are not actual as the manual say. and yeah, u want performance, straight pipe is the way but u do destroy ur environment.

no one knows for sure really... there is a lot you can still do... it all comes down to the $$$.

Funstic and Justin have the say on turbos... and I've been pushing the rev limits of a nearly stock valve train....
