Why do some of us have rear fogs

My dad has a rear fog, but he put it on himself. His cr is to high off the ground so can't see the ground at night...lol. In Europe that is very common though.

those are fog lights it looka like extra brake lights.

do they work like reverse lights???

On my car, I can light up one taillight brighter than the other so people will see the back of the car easier in the fog. But in the US it usually just results in people thinking something is wrong with the brake lights.

It's Euro Spec, All Cars Sold in like the UK have them, JDM Cars don't
