my wipers do not park, what is wrong?

a couple of months ago i gave somebody a jump and ever since, my wipers don't work correctly. When i turn them on, they work fine in low or high but the intermittent doesnt work and when i turn them off they do not park or return to the bottom, they just stop where ever they happen to be.

Is the control for parking and intermittent built into the wiper motor or is there a 'box' somewhere that controls that?

The connections in the combo switch need to be cleaned or the switch replaced. I have the same problem. If I give it a little jiggle, it will usually start working for me.

i had a problem the same as that when i swapped a EX modem combo switch into a 2.0Si. other than that the control box which i think is on the back of the fuse box must be fried from a power spike
