carpet is now gone, water came in somewhere and soaked the carpet from the passenger foot well to the rear footwell, not sure if it's just the heater core, which has gone bad again,or a bad water seal or something. opened the door and the car was full of knats, and found bugs under the carpet, it's sitting up on the ramps also. it's raining now,so we shall see in the morning. got some tech pictures of the vaccume bottle stuff, while it was out. this is also related to my other thread http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60924

well it was gone anyway, as soon as i can,i'll order another one from auto carpet originals. it was so worn it was just shredded. i had already planned to replace it. while it's out, i'll do some wiring work, clean the seats with saddle soap, and hopefully get the heater core replaced once again and get some of the other work done that's under it. it'll have to sit up for a while. the floor pans are fine, just dirty. i'll scrub them tomorrow to get any mildew off of them.

Put some rubberized undercoat spray on them floor pans before you install some new carpet.

well the factory sound deadining is still there, and they are coated underneath. i hate messing with that shit,it makes a huge mess. floor just needs to be cleaned good. the replacment carpet i'm getting also has the backing stuff.
