Here's some pics of my 2g. I'm just getting started on it.
The main things I wanna do right now: re-do tint, spray bumper ends, lower it a little. I have new shocks, springs, wheel bearings, etc, and Sumitomo 200's going on soon.

Man that is clean! I think that's like the 2nd 82-83 Accord sedan I've seen on here. What kind of springs and shocks did you find for it?

SZfiftyfour

Weber Conv. dont mind the black box, It'll be gone soon. Just have to figure out the a/c first.

Stock Replacement. When I first got it I went crazy buying replacement parts, so I could "bring er back to stock."

A rebuilt A20 would make more power, much less one built to high specs. Just drop in and go.

An engine lift, a weekend, and a few guys working would get you going quickly :D

Not a chance, the A20A will not fit the car.

Nice Early 2g BTW.

What are you trying to figure out with the A/C? The only thing on the original carb that has to do with A/C is the idle-up feature so that you don't stall out the car... You should be able to toss the black box and everything now, and the A/C will still work fine. :) If you figure out how to do A/C idle-up, let us know... Nice job on that conversion BTW. :)

Something did happened with the a/c though because now it doesn't blow through the front vents. just the upper and lower.

I guess something to do with vacuum line to the HVAC system?

I dunno on 2g, but on my 1g, the REC door is controlled by vacuum.

That's where my money is. Vacuum gremlins make electrical gremlins look nice.

Yea i know, but sometimes form follows function. and these work great.

Thats what i was thinking

2ndGenGuy

Yeah that's exactly what's going on. You're gonna have to look for the vacuum line that comes through the firewall and connect it to the intake manifold. Piece of cake! :)

a 0-60 run in the 2g on a flat road (if not a little incline). I screwed 1st gear, one day i'll re-do this. just wanted to test the weber. engine needs some freshening up and i'm assuming better times when i get it done.

Man the EK1 is a good sounding little engine! I can't wait to get mine running. Nice work! People always ask if I notice the difference with mine, do you notice the difference with yours?

Yea i like the sound of the EK1 too, i'd like to hear a 2g with a borla or flowmaster catback (something 'nice not rice'), and there is a noticable boost in performance with the weber. When the secondary opens it feels like, when an automatic downshifts to accelarate. If i weren't used to driving an auto already, it would feel weird.

It shouldn't affect your A/C system at all. The only thing you won't get is the A/C idle kick up. I put the Weber on my 2nd gen and the idle drop wasn't enough to notice. The weber was definitely worth it though. I love it on my EK1, it pulls pretty good. I suppose you don't have to pass emissions any more, but your engine bay looks so fresh and original and stock...
