got into a minor fender bender streets were wet, brakes are'nt up to par due to my lack of a job, and was distracted for a split second slammed into the back of Trailblazer in the trailer hitch and it pushed in the hood pretty bad right next to the left headlight only later to find out that the radiator has a small crack and it was smoking bad and almost overheated so I'll probaley part it out over this weekend anything you want is available up to and including a cylinder head.

Hopefully i can get a job and pick up another LX with a 5-speed so to Bad times a good face. Try to stay positive. :/)

That sucks. If you get an LX upgrade your brakes.

do you have picks of the wreckage? same exact thing happened to my CRX, and after removing the hood, bumper, and fenders i discovered the only 'real' damage was to the radiator support housing. totally fixable with enought time, money, and patience.

not right now but it the right edge of the rad was wet and there was a visible leak, and on top of that my oil light was blinking which i have never seen.

hey question the rad is mostly full with liquid. I tried to drive around a bit engine is ok tranny still great. I can't really get an idea of where the leak is because it seems to come from everywhere, and the a/c and p/s hoses are in my way but i have 2 bottles of the readiator stop leak stuff and i'm gonna try to see what it does but it seems i should flush it out first but if i do that i will never reach the leak cause it's at the top of the radiator.

So i guess i 'm seeking a little advice.
thanks

The Culprit - I have put on some JB waterweld but yet it still over heats.

Radiator stop leak is bad it goes all over and clogs things you don't want it to.

JB weld the outside can work, I used what I think was a fiberglass repair kit once on my radiator and it worked for a few months. Just have to rough up the area real good with sandpaper and make sure its real dry.

Flush and refill the system, then bleed the system to get rid of air bubbles.

about that where is the engine coolant drain plug if someone has a picture of that bolt it would help a bunch. i know how to drain the rad and the bleed screw by the thermostat.

thanks a lot.

Hey well I flushed the system out it's pure water out there I kinda sped up the process since i was by myself, i completely removed the bleed screw and installed a left over piece of vac hose i believe the middle size on our cars and i was able to flush it out it took a little bit it's clean.

Now i have to find out why when the car is cold the carb works fine no sputtering nothing like that but as soon as she warms up to running temp, It feels like she's dying on me, do i have to get some real antifreeze or should i look up carb diagrams on adjusting idle, mixture, or etc.

thanks alot in advance.

-Edit Anyone have some aid.???

Hey i drove her around about 5 miles locally just to see how she was doing the carb issue was resolved with a good blast of cleaner, but it still overheats so i'm assuming i should actually mix some antifreeze back in the system. I thought that water only can be used. On top of that she burns oil alot of it. but I thinks it burns because it still overheats.
